Stereo Audio / Visual:

some 6" speakers front and rear
Estimated Power:
283rwhp on 16psi

it was a car you either liked or hated - i built this car to how i wanted it and it went above and beyond the expectations i had set for this car.

car was sold in January and the new owner has said they will be taking this to the track, which is one thing i liked to hear.

but i've got a new drift project - S15 that will probably cop the same treatment, but will have a change of heart and run a bigger 6 cyl turbo (not nissan, not toyota). once i've pulled my finger out i'll get some progressive photos as its still in bits and pieces.

I will put a few photos up and make a comment along the build - most photos will be in order

enjoy
Pic of new kit painted after i got the car

had some spare wheels and tires so took it sliding at Riverside day to see how it went for basically stock at this time, had cusco coilovers

put rego on, tein coilovers and ran the 17" AVS wheels

Took it sliding at a morning session with diff and better exhaust with power fc now strapped in for some more go time

did a raceline event and wasn't happy with the car so went back to the drawing board

Bought real wheels, railed, roll cage and bride drivers seat

Wheels made the car but still had something left to give, so bought D-max boot spoiler, origin roof spoiler and raised the car so it was drivable and driftable and wasn't running 6 degrees camber. spent 60 hours in 5 days fixing gearbox, refitting diff, manifold leaks, more lock and took it to a morning session for some fun. car hit the dyno and spun up 275rwhp with the old turbo as seen in pics below.

picture of the car at the morning session running its best - before it decided to blow the turbo litterally :oopsie:

engine bay looking fancy

turbo that decided it didn't like QR after 60 hours working on the car that week, and 4 laps at QR

hard parked in pit lane after turbo went

telepathically driving - this day the car looked the part, drove the part but turbo didnt like me

after a few weeks of literally well over it, harden the fuck up, bought a new turbo, whacked it on, new tune of 283rwhp and started driving it again.

Another morning session came up so decided to take the car out - on the way to the track, strap holding my front bar broke, front bar flew out and then into my trailer and dragged it along the highway - great start before even getting near the track. end of the day, car blew a coolant hose after the morning session which was lucky, unlike the last morning session the thing broke 4 laps in

Had the car up for sale and everyone was interested but didn't want all the cool things (cage, seat, coilovers etc) so riverside had another day coming up and i thought i would take it out for the last time for good fun. car went perfect, destroyed tires, sent smoke signals and had awesome tandems during the day

this is how the car was sold - no cage, all seats back in, no coilovers, no fixed back seat - kind of went 10 steps back, but opened up the market to a hole heap of buyers and thankfully sold

I know the new owner is on boost, and I can't wait to see this car out doing what its good for.

All comments welcome, as mentioned above, I built the car how i wanted it, not to a fad, or a trend that was happening.

hail damage is how i sold it (copped the hail storm december 2010) - i deregistered/cancelled insurance cause that many test pilots when it was for sale, came around saw it had rego and wanted to drive. i never drove it, was rarely driven maybe once a fortnight, spent more time drifting on the track, then driving on the street

...I would NEVER buy a car without driving it first...Sure, you're looking to sell it quick, but it is more then reasonable for a potential buyer to take it around the block...

Great choice on the wheels. You are right they really made the car. It's a shame you had to strip all the good bits off it to sell it.

Efi are awesome - you've certainly made the right choice - highly recommend them, and they will certainly be looking after the new car once its built

Being a car salesman - you can tell a genuine buyer from a tire kicker - those that were genuine i took out with a trade plate on the back.

My first thought too, easy 300rwkw, would go hard in an import.
