1983 = no cat needed if it didn't come with one from factory

Unleaded, injected engine fitted, vehicle emissions must comply with what replacment engine required.

You can put an engine from a VE commodore into an EH holden, it would also need all the emissions gear, including Cat convertor.

    Haha.

My dad is a well known VASS engineer so he wont let me do anything 'illegal' to it.

The 1983 model of the corolla/sprinter (JDM and ADM) didnt come with Catalytic converters. All models after it I believe did come with it, although the rules state so long as its Pre-1986 it doesn't need it unless it came with it.

And no I'm not going be sliding this car if at all, I'm getting a KE70 to do all the dirty work.
I'd never be able to live with myself if I crashed it.

Is there anything wrong in doing that?
