Hi guys i have a VH SLE at the paint shop getting fully restored. In a couple of months i will have to chose a colour i want. My interior is burgandy and i have always been a fan of the 2 tone until last night when i showed my wife a picture and she said it looked "grandaddy" and that the solid colours looked "HEAPS" better so now im torn as its a pricey venture i want it to look awesome. Im having it done to show room condition including the engine bay being welded up. I have included some pics for colour ideas and examples of the 2 options. I also have the same bonnet scoop as the burgandy VH Your opinion and comment is appreciated thanks guys.

the original idea i thought was that honda clarity colour over a nice silver. But now not sure if i want to go all the clarity colour hence why im not torn

IMO would stay away from painting the outside of the car similar to the inside as it would just become a sea of burgandy

Commonly black or white exteriors set off a red interior well

you possibly might be able to get away with a charcoal grey exterior

or dark blue

Cherry black has more of a purple tone to it and i don't think that would go very well with a moroon/burgandy/claret interior.

Id have to disagree i dont like it and besides being a ferrari helps to look past the inside.

burgandy over silver is amazing, id keep its original ties to the colour, but fettle with the top colour a bit, the clarity colour over silver/champagne would look absolutely stunning!!!
edit: ESPECIALLY on simmonds meshies thumbsup.gif

Go OG on it man, they look real good maroon over silver.

My mum sold her VH SLE 253 few years ago for like a grand.. Would of been worth a bit more than that now..

Im a sucker for 2 tone on the older commos, you cant go wrong bro, the burgundy top color is a must i reckon so you just have to pick the bottom color with care. Personally id go the burgundy or similar red over champagne. Impossible to beat in my eyes, good luck mate

It would be intersting to see the beetle as a two tone over silver

OG two tone.

Unless your going to go a candy. Two tone will lose its appeal of what your trying to do with flasher non standard colours.

I had 2 back in the day. First was 2 tone Blue, with dark blue velour and second was white with the Light&dark blue interior. SL/E's Definately go 2 tone!

Don't think a champagne really works on a VH

And I think the body is too square to reflect the copper, heres a few Commies in similar shades to get an idea anyways
