I'm looking for a place where I could get a roadworthy on the northside which may overlook a small crack in the windscreen. It's absolutely clear that it isn't a problem but it can't be fixed by a windscreen place because it's been left for so long.

If anyone knows of a place that will do a roadworthy on the Northside please pm me smile.gif

I doubt you'll find what you're after if you are selling the car. most places have some leniency if you're only re-registering. But I strongly doubt anyone is going to put their name to a cert. if it's being sold.

Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of people out there who can and will help you but I don't think their name is going to appear on a public forum.

It's not been sold, the vehicle has already been purchased and is been transfered across to another family member. And that's why I asked for a PM smile.gif

I'm all against unroadworthy vehicles on the road.. but when I had to pay $50 today to be failed on a roadworthy for a crack which is about 2cm wide, it's a joke.

Its not a Joke
a cracked windscreen can reflect light and possibly incuring the drivers sight and then may cause a crash.

the rules are there for a reason and trying to dodge them on a car wich is beings passed to a family member makes it even more wrong

and $50 for a roadworthy is cheap

$50 is standard actually.

A windscreen is only a couple of hundred bucks anyway - If you want a dodgy you will probably have to pay half that for it anyway. Buy a windscreen and cop it on the chin

dont know why you'd even ask that sorta question if anyone posts someone name up here then thats really gonna cause alot of shit considering cops view the forums. good luck anyway

by the time u spend another $50 or more to get a "dodgy" RWC you probably could have a windscreen replaced, and take it back to the place that has failed you for the windscreen, and they will write one out at no extra costs, if you get there within 14 days from first inspection. Ring around for the best price mate, windscreens arent that exxy
