Guess what your a JDBogan.

Finally someone understands what I've been trying to convince these guys for ages, they're not different, it's all in their head that they're 'special'

The fact is Sharpy, it has become common banter now to bag boost out when it comes to associating with other forums who class themselves as a "specialty"
Granted "flavours" of other forums are out there, but to come back and say that boost is the reason why their meet went to the shitter is just funny.

Yet i would lay strong bets that every single person there is a member on here as well.

They just like to wear a different "hat" when parading with a different crowd.

Unfortunately no matter how un biast you are when it comes to cars. theres always a group that thinks they are top shit. And when people start finding out about their car meets they decide to point the finger at a car forum.

I myself could not be fucked driving my Maloo to one of those meets. Nor ride the GSXR ( a JDM vehicle ). Mainly cause:

1. the Maloo just wouldn't fit in and these twats would be going 'errrr theres a commodore here.....what a bogan' (Seriously pull your head out of your arse you dumb @#$!s!!)

2. The GSXR........I've seen the way most of these JDM twats try drift anything and everything.....and theres no way I want the arse end of some skyline with pathetically small tyres coming for me and taking me and the bike out.

JDM style tuning doesn't exclude any make of car, hell the website has a thread for non JDM cars which are styled that way. There's even an Alfa in there mamoru.gif

Not everyone just likes Japanese cars. For someone his age with a commodore it is actually quite clean and respectable. I just hate the tail lights.

So no need to rock up to a JDMST meet in a commodore when they are clearly only interested in jdm or jdm style cars. Contradiction at its finest in this thread. FFS!

If you read the original post it clearly states he was going in a Supra which was with me. Last time I checked my car is more than welcome there.

If you read back a few pages I was referring to eurakacockfaces comments about people not being interested in his bogan moari mover.. They clearly would rather look at an rx-7 with 10" meisters or an integra with a jdm front end conversion compared to shithouse stock commodores with a steering wheel cover and 4 15" subs in the boot. When will you guys realise that some cars meets are for certain models/makes/styles and it isn't all about stocko or even disgustingly modified commodores, falcons and geminis.

i think its reasonable to assume that if a meet gets publicly posted on ANY forum its bound to attract the unwanted dimwits far and wide.

if jdmst were really serious about keeping their meets as a bizarre masonic like ritual shrouded in a thick veil of secrecy then why dont admin PM selected members (or alternatively have a members only forum section) for known owners and enthusiasts to discuss meets, and tell its members to act in good faith towards the forum and only share details to other prospective JDM owners.

given that they dont and its publicy and openly discussed on the forum, why should they be angry if 60 VN's from ipswich rock up?

DAL32
Post #167

Well the events section is members only (threads visible but content not). If I didn't see it on boost I wouldn't know it was happening.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_domestic_market <<< that the definition of JDM? What if i rock up in a Commodore or Falcon, Black bonnet, Deep Dish rims as an example, blacked out bonnet and running say 1/2JZ-RB26/27/28 Stroker Engine and Driveline. What if i run the factory engine, but choose to use, say Japanese Turbocharger and components, does that class you as JDM and can I participate then? Are JDM meets Prejudice towards me and my Australian car...Is JDM a Universal Trend!!! beer.gif

P.S Sharpy my asshole has an opinion and smells the same as yours lol, depending on what i eat the night beforehand mate haha

Japanese STYLE Tuning....

Jo3y87
Post #171

How can you 'tune' something to be japanese unless you get it done by a japanese person?? Do they have a special way of tuning that doesnt work on VN's? I'm so confused. I reckon you could get away with just bringing a Japanese immigrant with you to one of these provided he did something to your car.

Looks like it's the VWs and the RX7s that rule the roost and can rock up to any meet they damn well want to oopsie.gif

I was going to write a reply with a rant but this thread and shit on this thread is fail no one gets the point of the JDM meets and why we dont like it getting on boost..

Actually RANT!!

The reason JDMST don't want the meets getting onto boost is for the fact that as soon as people on boost find out about it they come to the meet, get drunk, trash up the place, rip a skid, and so on and so forth.

When people do these types of things the meets are fucked the management for the area at the time crack it at the organisers and say they are banned from ever having a meet there again and in turn this fucks up everything.

Every time this sort of shit happens it makes it harder and harder for the meets to happen and makes it harder for the organisers to find a good spot. Alot of people think that it is just someone organising a spot then people just rock up..... Very far from it........ the organisers make a very big effort to get the meets together they approach alot of people and do alot of begging and pleading as alot of people now know the reputation that boost has and its gets rejected.

JDMST just don't want the meets to stop because alot of people still like the car scene and still love to get out and show of there car, its not just a meet for people to show there hectic HELLAFLUSH, Stretched tyres, and massive camber its a place for people to talk and look at cars not a place to be a tool and ruin it for everyone else.

Eureka: Dont take it that hard man it was a simple mistake. People on here just love to try and abuse there right to use a keyboard.

Rant Finished.

Two words, piss off.

Boost is not responsible for the actions of their members or fellow car enthusiasts.

At no point have we condoned to go street racing, doing skids or drifting on the street, nor have we condoned any of these at any meet, be it a Boost one or not.

Take your bullshit elsewhere.

I give up.

No one will ever win this fight its the same shit all the time never end loop of bull shit.

No point in posting here again.

No problems.

I've removed all the access to your account, seems you don't mind using the forum for selling items, but seeing as you've put forward your opinions on the site, and have no genuine reason to post here, or and decent form of input, it shouldn't be an issue.

Just because somebody turns up in a particular car doesn't mean that they can't enjoy the vehicles there.

Hell I drive a Commodore (again) yet I turn up at Muscle Car shows, drift events and "DownSyndromeAsFuck" events because I appreciate the vehicles there, the owners on the other hand are for the most part, elitist dickheads who use the scene solely and wholey for posing more often than not.

This.

Wrong.

The only time i have seen a skid been ripped is when a Green xr6 ute came and ripped one up, then some of the guys off the honda forums decided to turn up and rev the fuck out of there cars and hit VTEC YO!

Read the whole post that i put up and you will understand what i mean it is not just about ripping a skid there is alot more to it read it properly.

And those guys were approadched upon their leaving, lectured and dealt with. I also warned them on OzHonda, if any delinquents wished to act inappropriately in their cars I would permanently ban them from OzHonda for doing so ; no similiar problems have occured.

QUOTE (Ralli @ Jun 6 2011, 11:03 PM) *
And well it's not an "illusive" *sp* club, it's in a public place FFS, you don't own the land, you don't charge to get onto the land, so you really have no right in telling people who can come and who can't.

Well actually.... the amount of time and effort Mati / Rory / Alex / Foy etc put into the meet behind the scene well warrants the reasonin ; unlike threads on boost that go 'hey guiz me n ma boiyz r gonna meet at maccas for a cruise 2 da spit, any1 wana cum'. Slightly different standards.

QUOTE (Ralli @ Jun 6 2011, 11:08 PM) *
yet the honda forum guys turned up and revved the fuck out of their cars ..

Refer to my last quote re:honda boys.

QUOTE (TwinCam16 @ Jun 6 2011, 11:12 PM) *
But hey, Steve / Ash / Robby made toombul happen without this "secret squirrel" shit that you guys prance around about and it was a dickload bigger / more organised and 0 police issues.

laugh.gif x infinity. The JDM meets far exceed the Toombul meets in terms of size. You also have a convenient memory, forgetting all the VL pot smoking VB drinking bogans up the back corners, or the wankers throwing beer bottles down from the road above after they left. If you'll recall the meets were canned long before the roadworks took place.

These so called JDM meets are run by a bunch of white guys who think they're full of japanese heritage. Not a single person that shows up is japanese. Watching anime/manga, driving a shitbox with a (insert jap badge), putting on tyres too small for your rims because you're poor, then hardparking.. does not make you, or your car "JDM".

If you actually take the time to look at how real Jap car meets turn out, you'd see that those slanty eyed fucks are no merely no different from your average "johno rd bogan", EXCEPT for the fact, they have deeper pockets.
