just after a little bit of advice been told that statesman are very different to commodores and need alot of modification to convert to manual and isn't worth the hassel has anyone done it, what was needed?

its a longer commodore

they never came manual, so the only drama would be the center console, tailshaft can be made by driveline services.

ask yourself though is it worth spending 2.5-4k converting?
