Except at willowbank where it really matters............All these cars are dyno queens..... the torana has run mid 10's and its only done a couple of passes so its not just a dyno queen |

My datto and dans torana are def not dyno queens i have run 11.80 with old setup and dan has run 10.5 at 143, but i do understand your point with some cars, but hey thats why there are no dyno results recorded aus wide like drag times are. |

And here I was thinking that tight straps causing power loss on the R35 dyno would be the most contraversial part of this thread. yes controversial but interesting, I dont know enough about dynos to be sure but it was what we came up with. car went from 637 to 591 wheel HP from the previous afternoon. same car, same dyno, same fuel, same operator, same tune. car only having moved 5 meters and not driven otherwise in the interim. 15% change in numbers does seem a lot, though dynos are not necessarily known for consistency in absolute numbers. they are best used as a tool to gauge a change in power from an adjustment in tune. Drag times are argued to be more reliable but it is not as if there isnt more than a few variables there either. I am sure this will spark some controversy. for me it is more about times at the track though. and yes to the guy posting above, I havent lost the point. it is just a dyno day. put your car on, shoot out some numbers and chill eating some burgers and checking out the awesome rides! |
