Just a question ?? The money raised for the champs in the Intensive Care ward, what is going to be done with this ??ie are u going to buy a huge 'thank you' hamper or what ??

Not too sure yet, depends on how much we get, cuz if the amount is only small the best thing would probably be something like a massive thankyou hamper or something like that. But if we got a decent amount i reckon the best thing to do would be just to give them a check and let them spend the money how they see fit. Whta do you reckon?

This is true and i am toying with the idea of just a little arial flag or something like that, would be expensive to make stickers.But you have to realise, Young kids plus hot cars does equal media attention, but if people dont act like fools on this cruise then there will be nothing for the media to report. Know this, if people act like idiots there is no tolerance they will simply be asked to leave the cruise.

I reckon a ribbon tied on our aerials is a top idea. Find a colour that suits - maybe red? Or something similar. We don't want to use too much money on the identifier as that detracts from the end amount that we give RBH ICU.

Or the other idea is we could buy a roll of ribbon and as part of the fundraiser we sell portions of ribbon for say $2 to people that want them to show their support.

Personally I think the latter option is the better? But like I've said earlier it would be best to contact RBH Admin to ensure they also support this idea.

i am thinking white ribbons maybe? Sortof signifies doctors and nurses, or white and red even? I dunno. What would you guys prefer to do, just hand them out or sell them for like $2?

has this been changed to the saturday now?

if so i wont be able 2 make it as i am changin my hours of the begining of january so that i am workin every saturday and having sunday monday off ill still give a donation and ill crusise down at night

yeah it has been changed to saturday as usualyl on the sunny coast cruises there area lot of cancelations due to peopel being hung over and such form saturday night. This also means that we can stay up there late and stuff and party if you want. I aint 18 though sad.gif ah well

Spoke to the customer relations dept at RBH this morning. I havnt spoken to Intensive Care personally as i want it to remain a surprise. But RBH said there are no problems with this sort of event going ahead, the only possible drama would be if someone was acting stupid and the media grabbed hold of it, the Royal Brisbane Hospitals name attatched would make them look bad, so for everyones sake, dont act stupid.

I think the idea of selling the ribbons would be best - as its a fundraiser cruise - just another way to collect more money to help out the RBH ICU thumbsup.gif The more we can get the more we can give which therefore means the more ICU can do with the money! Which in the long run will help out other sick and injured people.

Also like what Jimbo has said wankers won't be tolerated so make sure you guys keep it safe and sensible on the cruise and we won't have any bad publicity cos if one person decides to be a jerk the media will be all over it like ants on spilt fanta! And thats the LAST thing we or the RBH want.

But keep the names coming - lets make this one a cruise to remember for the right reasons.

Had an interview with the newspaper lady today, she was really nice. Look out for the chronicle this week for the article. Cant wait for this cruise.

I dont mind about another meeting location, are there many people that are too far south for milton? If there are then sure, can someone put their hand up and pm me to take charge at this area?
