Guys, looking for some info.

Where is the best place to mount the battery isolater?? I will be mounting the battery where the rear seat used to be and right against the side of the car on the passenger side.

Just wondering, what rpm is redline? and is it the same for twin and single cam?

trackattack
Post #835

single is 6000, not sure on the twin, probably similar.

We have 15 Excels coming to Lakeside this Sunday.
Some more Excels were supposed to be coming to QR, but they haven't signed up.......
I will be there chasing down Pork Hunts 69.28 seconds !
Not really sure that my tyres and suspension are up to it

I have my new BOGE struts and rear swaybar in the garage,
but CBS fitting them until the springs arrive.
I have also ordered some camber bolts from the US, hopefully they fit !

Dont think you'l have too much of a drama with that time Jeff, the 1.40 on the national might be different, it was a lap I did and at the end I was movin pretty quick.

Have fun at lakeside, I'll be away for the weekend and then overseas.
Also share details on camber bolts plox

Should be - Richard from AMS is making them up for us, so unless I stuffed up  and forgot to ask for one they should be ready.
There are always tape on numbers to use at the track if need be.

Make that 17 Excels on the final list :D

It would be a great help to me if you guys could get your entries in earlier in the week
the time keepers like to get all of the cars into the computer as early as possible.

Thanks for a great turnout, Its going to be fun

Cheers Jeff

Jeff, how many groups do you have for this sunday?

trackattack
Post #846

I have 33 entries,
lately they have been just splitting us up with their cars by time, so I assume the same will happen this weekend.
Excels will probably be in a group by themselves

Well I am stuffed for tomorrow,
blew another tyre on the trailer and non of the spares have a big enough center hole to fit on the late model hubs.

Best I could get out of the old girl today was a 72,
those semi slicks are just too grippy for my current tyres to compete with..... maybe next time !

I had a few dramas today,
first lap of the first run the front indicator came loose and I got black flagged
first lap of the second run got an oil surge and made a big puff of smoke coming onto the front straight and got black flagged.
OK lets make a oil catch can out of some hose and an old brake fluid bottle
Third and fourth runs went well
Looking forward to getting some suspension and tyres onto the old girl !

Hey Guys,

Due to the large number of late night Thursday registrations I have had to move the last registration day at the normal reduced entry fee to Wednesday before the Lakeside Events.

The reason that I have had to do this is because I am getting billed late fee's for the entries that I send in Friday Mornings.
The earlier that you get your entries in the easier it is to manage at our end, ideally we need the entries a week before the event.

Thanks Jeff.

The Excel is fine, just a bit of oil surge which a lot of cars suffer from at QR.
Its not so much of an issue at Lakeside as the corners dont flip flop like the QR sprint circuit.

The problem with the trailer is that the hubs are late mode commodore and the spare wheels I have have a smaller center hole.
Dont worry about today, I will bring the video camera and shoot trackside footage

Yes that was one of the options that I was looking into.
I was thinking that we could keep a separate point score for the junior drivers.

So if there are enough Excel juniors we do a Excel Juniors point score.
If we are short on driver numbers we could do a combined juniors 4-banger & excel class.

cheers Jeff
