OK so who actually has an excel already and is going to sprint it ? who is planning to buy one ? and who is bidding against me on ebay at the moment ? just after a bit of an idea on numbers cheers. Hi Jeff, It's Lee from Real Dyno Performance, we have been watching this and are keen to get involved. This is a great idea and the guys at my shop are looking forward to racing. We have 1 car to enter possibly 2 for the first event so you can count us in. Is there any problems with sign writing on the cars? |

Mybe you should take you car out to Lakeside and see if you can beat the 2 excels running around at the moment. This class is cheap, fun motor sport but make no mistake a 69 sec time around the fastest track in Australia (overall average speed) is no joke, and put 10 to 20 plus Excel on the track at the same time will be insane fun. Cheers Paul i reckon and nudging probably won't be out of the question for half the people dodgy fixes on the cars will be cheap as |

What ASAA reg's would the circuit racing come under? do you know what licence we need for it? and to confirm the harness only need to be AS2596? what about the seats? AASA Circuit Race Licence is $210 per year. http://www.trackattack.com.au/forms/qr%20f...Application.pdf Vehicle and apparel requirements - http://www.trackattack.com.au/forms/circui...and_apparel.pdf Scrutineering form - http://www.trackattack.com.au/forms/circui...it%20racing.pdf QUOTE Minimum Roll Over Protection must meet AS/NZ Standards AS 1636.1-1996 Minimum four point harness in Sedans, five or six point for Sports and open wheelers to AS2596 and installed to Australian Standards All seats must be securely attached to the chassis in a suitable manner. They haven't anything noted for the seats, but I would assume a fixed back racing seat as a minimum requirement for circuit racing. You can get some inexpensive ones that comply with Aus stds which should do the job. Hi Jeff, It's Lee from Real Dyno Performance, we have been watching this and are keen to get involved. hmm damn, I was hoping we would only need a clubman licence for $55/yr yeah the $55 licence covers you for sprints, skidpan and drift. but circuit racing is more risk therefore the insurance/license policy increases |

Lookin' good. I'm probably going to just run my old girl stock. She has 350,000kms on her atm and the suspension/brakes are a bit old. After setting a base run I can start upgrading it I have a spare engine/gearbox here and just sold an X2 excel for $155 last week on ebay I might be interested in the motor. How much do you want for it and what condition is it. Lee |

How much serious interest have you gathered for the full circuit racing? The sprinting will be where the interest is initially. Its a bit more mucking around fitting cages etc. |

You should make a daewoo 1.5i/cielo race series. You can pick up a real decent one of them for literally under $500, and they still go alright. Maybe let them into this race and have a holden v ford style showdown between the Daewoo's and Hyundai's they are comparable vehicles, same capacity, similar weight, similar horsepower |
