yeah I'm doing my research now, just kept reading about expirey dates on harness's and how they are good for 4 years. Any word on the cages? I use 2" rpm harness to AS2596 which complies with AASA and CAMS requirements. These harness do not have an expiry date. They are also road legal in my car due to the age of the car (pre 1972) I need to get a car to paul so that he can work out the steel required for the cages, but they could be as little as $300 either for a 4 point bolt in kit or 4 point welded in if you take him the car. price range for cages should be between $300 to $600, will confirm as soon as I can. |

We need boots, suits, gloves and a helmet to race circuit dont we? package deal? for sprinting you only need long clothes and a helmet. but yes for circuit racing you need 1 piece overalls, boots and gloves. If I can get some idea of how many people are interested i can put a deal together. I dont like to buy too many race suits for stock if I can help it due to the cost. but if I know that a certain amount are required I can get them in. race suits can come in single cotton double cotton/nomex double nomex/nomex sizes XS to 3XL (I have found you need to go up a size) |

is there going to be any restirctions on tyre widths? I have some 13x7 rims that would fit 225 tyres which would go mint on a excel At this stage as long as your not running race tyres and they are 13" I haven't proposed any further restrictions. what do you guys want ? do you want to restrict it to something like 195 or 205 70 series or just go open on the size ? whats the general consensus ? |

duno what the big deal is with tyres. those things would be flat out spinning the stock tyres in the wet Mybe you should take you car out to Lakeside and see if you can beat the 2 excels running around at the moment. This class is cheap, fun motor sport but make no mistake a 69 sec time around the fastest track in Australia (overall average speed) is no joke, and put 10 to 20 plus Excel on the track at the same time will be insane fun. Cheers Paul |

This sadly is a great idea, its a good way to get ouy on the track in a car that you dont mind if it gets wrecked, or if it does cheap to fix (or buy another). will also be good building block for people wanting to get into circuit stuff. |
