is it auto or manual?
auto will stall if you fit an atmospheric bov on it
manual will just run rich on gear changes

it will already be fitted with a small bov from factory and will just be a case of replacing it with your new one
just follow along the intake pipes and will be somewhere after the intercooler and before the throttle body, remove the old one and insall your one (you may need an adaptor plate but some bovs come with it)

check out www.rslibertyclub.org or www.ozliberty.com.au they are liberty based forums

should have a stock BOV on your intercooler

i would be wary about putting an atmosperic bov on the auto
tends to make them stall so something (not 100% sure tho)

My auto runs fine on a atmo bov, with tiptronic you do have to let off the throttle between gear changes to vent the load.
And yes it does run rich on gear changes, just a little pop from the exhaust every nown & again.

I did try to plumb mine back, But it was been gay & would not open whenever I plumbed it back, so i left it at atmo.
It runs better with the stock bov, but the stock one leaks boost badly, so I would rather hold full boost pressure & let it run a little bit rich.

lol @ lifting throttle on gear changes on a tiptronic. you don't like your transmission do you.

i dont really, But 3 years ago, it was hard pickings finding a manual R34.

Anyways... letting off is the only way to stop it from bogging down inbetween gears when you run a atmo bov in a auto. if you dont let it vent It will try & push air back in when the turbo is trying to push out again for the next gear under load.

Stock bov is back on my car again after tonight on the gold coast mt, the bogging down gave me the shits.

if its a semi plumb back it will be a lot better than a full atmo (id has one hose side and one trumpet)
