Perhaps you bunch of fucking useless whinging cunts could put your own on?

Then the rest of us can pick through exactly how fucked up your mediocre sized gathering was?

Kudos to the organisers, I wasn't able to attend due to something else being on the same day, was more than happy to donate $$$ though.

So what if there were some fuckups, first event. There is always fuckups at first events, look at Summernats/Powercruise/Cruzetime etc.

Big thumbs up to all those who donated money to a worthwhile cause, to all of you Brisbane fuckwits that DIDN'T bother donating the meager amount asked for, a big fuck you to all of you useless cunts

Sorry Jay the cruise couldnt cater to your liking.
little bit difficult when you organising an event where more than half the cars are better than autosalon, more cars than you can poke a stick at.
Maybe next time (which is quite frequent of your attitude)
GET OFF YOUR LAZY WITH TRASH ASS AND PUT IN SOME HELP ALSO!!!

To everyone else I hope you all had a great day out.

oh im sorry cartman, club high rollers was put on the flyer but we had no roll in the event at all.

u say im lazy, mate i had 12 cars with me at the boondall meet and we all drove to the show grounds...... the event is about cars yeah, what did u bring????? seem i put in more then u did.

lazy ass u say, i was also there on time...... you cant say the same. u missed the whole cruise.

i would of more then of been happy to run the brisbane meet side cruise by the way but i have to be given the authorty.....

if u have anything else to say send me a pm or u have my number. thumbsup.gif

Cry some more Ben. Most of what is being said should be taken as constructive criticism and i only hope they learn from it. There were mistakes made by organisers and as such they will no doubt hear about it. If you would have attended you too would have been 1 of the people leveling criticism as you tend to complain about anything that goes wrong and you know it, because face it if nothing gets said how can they improve?

At the end of the day, I believe people are just tring to impart some constructive criticism - emphasis being on constructive.

I for one would go again next year, and I'm sure a majority of the 800 people would as well knowing there is an effort for improvement to be made.

To simplify - look at the highlighted issues:

1. Organisation/Management of the cruise should have been at the venue at 11am to set up marque's, dj's, food and drink
2. Basic amenities and commodities should have been in number, water, softdrink, food and toilet facilities - whether they needed to be hired or not.
3. If you were on the poster as being an organiser - you should have been organising, not standing around trying to be funny or too cool infront of your mates.
4. The management of the entrances need to be improved - especially on hot days with a variety of age's in cars (not all have the most efficient cooling). This is perhaps even where our friends the Police Service can be utilised to assist in effective traffic management.

you have no idea jay. all you do is winge, if you read the flyer it was with logos saying the clubs in southeast queensland, hey free plug for you but next time you can shove it fair up your clacker.
so your contribution was bringing some cars, well woopti fukin doo, so did 700 other people. do you want a medal or a chest to pin it on.

how about next time you do it all yourself and then we can pick on you.

the meeting points were 11am at both and scedualed time of leaving each meet was 11:45. cant help it if people didnt want to wait at the spot for everyone to arrive before they left as one group.

Actually no.

All I am seeing is people whinging like a bunch of cut cats about how hot it was, lack of shade, lack of drinks etc.

What the fucks wrong with getting off your own asses and bringing a hat or sunscreen to the event? Or is it not cool to be seen wearing protection from the sun now? Hell, I would of packed the cheap ass marque I have into the boot to put up, 30 secs later I have shades and a seat, not all that hard dunno.gif

I'm not saying the constructive criticism is the whinging, I'm saying the plain out and out whinging is a bullshit mark on what seemed to of been a decent event. You know as well as I do half these fuckwits would still be whinging if everything was perfect.

Can you PM me those details so I can sort that shit out too? biggrin.gif

Seems half of you went on the cruise not to support the charity, but for the sake that it was a large cruise and only that. Cruise was for a good cause no matter how pear shaped you thought it went, like I said, I dont see anyone else bothering to put their hands up for the task of organising anything near this size????

Alright day out,

Bit dissapointed in the organising tho.. (As others have mentioned)

Wasn't given a Map at the meetspot,
No one there seemed to be in charge at all, (maybe next time have someone there standing at the driveway handing out maps and giving everyone a heads up on leaving times etc)

The so called "Cruise" ended up being us and a couple of others wondering where the hell we were going..

Dont look at this as Winging, Look at it as feedback..

You knew there was going to be a huge number of cars, And it wasn't exactly an early meet time, So a bit of early preparation (Drinks, Unlock Toilets, Set up for collections etc) And Communication would of made things flow a little smoother..

Great turnout tho! There was some awesome cars out!! thumbsup.gif

On that precise note, that is a great idea.

Hunzi if you want a hand organising - mid next year call for volunteeers!!!

Break the management up - have some people working on venue, others on food & drink, others in promotions, etc.

I did wear sunscreen and still got burnt lol

I think it was the above complaints of no shade/food/drink/etc that turned it from a decent event into a "could have been"

Of course plenty would still complain no matter how perfect it is but a lot of others genuinely wanted it to be awesome and the few things stopped it being seen as such.

pm sent with details too biggrin.gif

Thank you everyone who helped make the day what it was - overall we couldn't have hoped for better weather or turnout!!

We counted around 620 cars parked at one time on the oval, with around 900 cars / 1700 people attending over the whole day.

I admit there were issues with the organisation :
DJ, BBQ and toilets were all spose to be open from 12, with the event starting at 1, and the cafe providing the drinks WAY under-stocking their fridges (i told them 700-1000 cans to start with, and they only had 300 cans, which i had to personally drive down to woolies to re-stock)

moving of from that, congratulations to all the trophy winners, and a MASSIVE thankyou to everyone that donated- Overall it was an awesome sight to have that many, and that much variety of cars filling the area! Definately alot of hot cars i have never seen before!

a big thanks to all the sponsors, and volunteers that helped out on the day! great to see that 98% of drivers were well behaved, and it was great to meet alot of new people up here!

Total funds for the day have not been tallied yet, but it looks like a decent amount and we will ensure all of it gets to the charity. I been organizing large charity cruises for over 6 years now, and although this is my first large one up here and it had it's teething problems, it definately wont be the last, and i can guarantee the next one will be bigger and better!

..

Extra special thank you's on the day to to:

Hunzi and znz : without you helping me this day wouldn't have happened. thank you for the support and slaving over the BBQ!

Keish, Matty, Ron, & the rest of UNC : for your help with managing and directing traffic

Rep from the commodore club that helped position cars direct traffic that got there at 12.

Special Guest DJ's for driving all that way out after a big saturday night working.

The champ with the Maloo ute who helped me with getting the cans from the supermarket back to the event.

Oh, and to the hero who thought it would be smart to pop ringys on the grass:

a) Nice numberplates, your car will be impounded, end of story.

b) You may be up for re-turfing which starts at around $4,000.

It was merely a culmination of subpoints but I appreciate your perspective. People want this event to be successful, and that is a burden not only cast upon organisers but everyone who attended.
