Correct wink.gif so whens your car going to be ready?

Good question.

Best time would be early or late June i think ie. Before, during or after the next Circuit Club day held at OP GP.

Trying to get most it organised by then. I'll have to get down to the panel shop and get a quote on the front bar to be repaired before then too.

Will be a bit more "race" by then smile.gif and far more worthy of your talent, as well as the space it will take up on the Cold Track Days blog!

Lol, i chucked my triggers at a wall in rage at the last shoot i did with them, spent 30mins trying to get them to fire all in sync. The owner of the car throught i was a nut case. Im usually a very laid back person. I dont know how you can still use them.

i don't see how so many people have problems with there ebay triggers/receivers. Mine work perfectly fine and hardly ever have a missfire. I used to have the antenna mod but the solder eventually came off so now i have a huge hole in the top of my trigger and inside its sort of messed around but they work 100% fine.

On the other hand, PocketWizards Plus II's are now reasonably cheap as the new ones are out.

Casey wait till u use them more.

Another quick shoot on a car at wakefield, took me about 15mins to do the whole car lol. Using ambient light is so easy haha. Processed using adobe lightroom.

^ nice.. I have taken a pic against the same wall there.. But was a gloomy day and the rims came out dark sad.gif

Anyways good work smile.gif

ooh how you finding your new L lens?

matt mead
Post #711

I didnt really use it alot at wakefield as i didnt have time to do more normal pit lane stuff. It does produce nice images, but i wish it was a tad longer, 17-70 f4 would be really nice. The upgrade was more out of want then need lol

Sample from wakefield pit lane

Went out to Eastern Creek, im kinda happy with the results, but i felt i didnt manage the light alot and i think i strayed away from my personal style or maybe its still developing. I think i tryed to please my customers more then myself which i dont know if i like.

Feel free to cc.

Don't be another guy that sits on the same corner, same front 3/4 bread and butter shot, that shits me no end.

The reason why your stuff kicks ass is because it's different and actually creative!

I can see your reasoning behind wanting to do the same old shots that get the scrilla, but stuff that... you have a good 9-5 job as it is.

do it because you enjoy taking photos and cars, the money is a additional bonus for your creative talent.

Yeah i know what you mean chris, i felt pretty bummed editing these shots (not so much the shots posted) but all there other ones. Im going to winton this weekend so im defeintly going to chuck he rule book out the window and get the creative juices flowing.

Don't be too damn harsh on yourself dude!

I reckon those are pretty damn good. They cover all of the bases. They're different to the normal crap they sell, some interesting vehicles and i personally don't think you've strayed from your style. thumbsup.gif from me smile.gif

Personally i don't think this set of pictures really portrays you.

I have seen you do much better shots than thoses!!

Was just talking to Matt. He actually meant he wasn't too happy with the other pics he didnt post that were for customers that he *had* to take. The usual Turn 2 shot, back of corporate hill job, etc.

If someone showed me those shots, i'd definitely say they look Matt Mead inspired smile.gif

Yeah Matt brings the big pans. I too agree that the rest are still good images, they may not be as stylish as your pans but seriously, you CAN'T be doing that all the time. They still have good composition and still give me the feeling that they're pacing through it which is the point right?

I like number 6 - everything looks all nice and crisp. However, all the shots are really nice biggrin.gif

Road tripped it to winton on the weekend, all i can say the feeling of having a blank canvas to explore is so so so so so so so so good haha. I wish i had the means to travel to more race tracks around the country. Heres some snaps.

Enjoy

Thanks oscar, i think its because i was shooting for the luv rather then the bank account. Was being very bold with my shutter speeds and i thought i managed the light quite well.
