When I shoot (if i'm not mucking around) I do try and think of it as film but i guess its inevitable that you can always just erase that last image and shoot another with different settings etc..

its fair from perfect...lighting on the car isnt perfect but u live and u learn...

i procssed this shot using HDR plus a few other things

3 vivitar strobes on the side of the car... sun was used to light the front of the car... background was has some very mild HDR done to it

makes them 99.9% better, can shoot over 160ft and still set them off....

there is no set rule... just trial and error... u will soon learn that flash photography isnt as easy as u think it is

Just a little too much light on the side. A strobe to light the front right corner may have been a nice touch?

I still think it's a nice shot, just a little too bright like Blownhr said. Pages it almost seem like it's going to jump off the screen and smack me in the face.

it's nice, but i don't like the strong reflections off the rims... but i think that just comes down to to much flash...
still such a strong shot

The biggest thing for me in this shot is the wide open space in the foreground... there's just too much

But, why do you use vivtars?.. why not speedlights?... Both do the same thing don't they?

Vivitars cost 100$ a flash compared to $400 for speed lights.... im a tight ass lol i have 4 vivtiars for the cost of one speed light

i had a shoot today about females in motorsport and had no issue at all with my ebay triggers after i modified them.. im now happy with them... thanks nick u have saved me 1000$ lol

lol, yeah, fair enough.

I was thinking of getting pw's, then i had a close look at the price tag.... Called up dragon image and they offered me a general wireless remote. It's alright... butttt, at times, it does goes off when it's not meant too.

Dragon image.. UGH! I went there to get my stand kit - The really old dude there is a massive wanker and talked my ear off for near an hour when I knew what I wanted, he wanted to sell me a 240v strobe kit. For being so old the dude was a fucking noob.

oh really, well he was very helpful. My first remote was a fautly one so he gave me a brand new one... which most stores should.

Vivitar's are a form of a speedlite...

Anything small, compact, hotshoe mountable is a 'speedlite'

Dude, when you get around enough it kinda gets harder and harder to take compassion on people who:

A) Don't want it
B) Don't give a fuck about you so why care back
and
C) Are doing a job because it's a job, not to be pitied by people so treat them with the same respect and attitude you'd treat anyone else - it's only fair and that's what I've done.

You may think I'm a prick but to be honest, I'm not going to buy shit from him when he tried to bully me into $1000's of products I don't want, need or am even interested in so don't get me wrong - it's a shame for his family he's got parkinsons but his professional attitude stinks and I certainly wont be going back and telling others the same story as I've done here.
