NT Police are investigating the incident in which a man used an explosive to destroy a Winnellie ATM this morning - in the process knocking himself backwards. Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Karl Day said alarms sounded at the Winnellie ANZ bank on the corner of Albatross St and Catterhun St at about 3.45am. “Detectives reviewed CCTV footage from the location which shows a man attend the location, light an explosive and within seconds the item exploded, knocking the man over backwards. The man then ran from the scene. “The offender is described to be a male of caucasian appearance, medium build and at the time of the incident he was wearing dark coloured knee length shorts, a dark T-shirt, a dark hat, thongs and wore a light coloured shirt over his face.” It is believed the man is responsible for a similar incident at the NAB ATM in Winnellie on December 24. Police urge anyone who may recognise this man, or anyone who may have been in the area at the time and witnessed any suspicious behaviour, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.” Source: NT News -------------------- :: BoostCruising :: The Automotive enthusiasts site with extensive Car Sales, loads of Car Parts, mags, wheels and Tyre Sales, along with subs, tweeters, head units, speakers, heaps of Car Audio.
