things have slowed down somewhat, although typically it's probably a little bit slower on weekends / people are out and about, living their lives etc.

I've been up to Buderim today, sneaky visit to see the parents. I bought my father up some "treasure" as I put it - a broken mower, two spare engines - one that he gave me 7-8 years ago that's freshly rebuilt / never started, and assorted spares from a mower that I'd pulled apart (same model)

also gave mum some spare pots, and a whole heap of seeds - flowers & vegies, for her to plant.

Just did a trip to Coffs Harbour. I live in Jimboomba so I took the Lions Road down and then on the way home I just did Summerland Way to the end, then right onto Mt Lindsay Hwy. Who else has weighed up whether the Lions Road is faster by time then the normal way?

My father in law and I disagree in our opinions. Whilst the Lions Road is 28km shorter, he believes it takes longer because it is a slower paced road. I didn't time it so I can't say 100% but to do both roads in the same amount of time (even though FIL says long way is faster) you would need to average 28km/h more. Both times I had the 2010 Corolla Levin at a similar pace and I just can't see it.

Mind you either way is a nice piece of road, I just wish I wasn't doing it on bugger all sleep and on the way home from Coffs Harbour (already in the car for 2.5hours before attacking that road)

Summerland and Mt Lindsay quicker if in normal car driving a WGAF pace, but Lions Rd if you like to give it some stick, I could go trough a set of rear tyres from Sunnybank to Lismore via the Lions Rd, would need to top up at Rathdowney and be near empty by Lismore, fun days

HBO has announced that the fourth season of Game of Thrones is set to premiere on April 6th! The first trailer for the epic fantasy series will actually air this Sunday at 8:58 p.m. ET right before True Detective starts. But you can expect it to be released online sooner, so stay tuned for that!

HBO also said it will air Damon Lindelof's fantasy drama The Leftovers in the summer. That series is based on the novel by Tom Perrotta, and Justin Theroux leads the ensemble cast. The pilot for the series was directed by Peter Berg, and to read more about the series click here!

The network then revealed that the fifth season of Boardwalk Empire will be its last. It seemed like that show was going to come to an end soon. It's been such a great series, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they end it and seeing what happens to the characters. Creator Terence Winter had this to say in a statement,

We’re thrilled to get the go-ahead for a fifth season of Boardwalk Empire. After much discussion with my creative team and HBO, we’ve decided to wrap up the series after such a great run and look forward to bringing it to a powerful and exciting conclusion.

HBO is always producing good quality shows, and I'm very excited to see the next chapters of Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire, and the start of The Leftovers.

Although a hilarious to read thread, what I wrote and got booked for is bullshit. Just some whinging cow having a whinge.

This Fiona bird reported my comment because of a super sandy vag. My comment was taken down.

I don't mind their work - it's just the 'gimmicks' that they seem to want to add to cars that's plain stupid.

Violent gang members are taunting police by driving around Sydney in expensive cars with number plates that use the initials of police squads. At the scene of a fatal shooting of a Brothers 4 Life member in Revesby Heights yesterday were two cars with the plates MEOC and MEOC 63.

MEOCS is the acronym used by NSW Police for the specialist Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad, which targets ethnic-based crime, particularly in southwestern Sydney. Brothers 4 Life are one of their main targets. Parked outside the unit block where Mahmoud Hamzy was shot dead early yesterday was a $150,000 Mustang with the number plate MEOC and a $100,000 Mercedes with MEOC 63.

don't get it done, let them void your warranty.

then overnight parts from japan. ph34r.gif

Doc
Post #694

i dont think they can void my warrenty for that simple fact.. what if i was out of the country.
Kind of like getting your new car serviced by your own mechanic and not the dealership.
which is what ill be doing once i start to get the mods done back at CNJ.

The general rule of thumb is that if you get your car serviced in accordance with the service schedule, they (Subaru) can't invalidate your warranty.

However if push comes to shove and there is a fault, they may try to use that fact against you. Even so, the burden of proof would be on Subaru to prove that your mechanic's work caused the failure by not using genuine subaru parts, instead of a manufacturing fault.

services are done on a time / month basis and not only the amount of km's. must be long enough since your last service?

I've heard some sketchy things about warranties being voided for the smallest indiscretions.

Doc
Post #696

yer its every 12.5k or 6 months.. which ever comes first.
i know 2 services a year is really nothing, and not complaining about that ive only done 10k.
just how they ring you for a reminder,, which is fine. you wait to find time to fit it into your schedual,
then they send out a letter to pretty much say if you dont bring it in we will void you warranty.

they may void it but i bet you they would still want to service it.
