Just out of interest does anyone know anything about the RB30DET (not the RB30ET which came in the VL turbos) such as what car/s they came in etc.

Well thats exactly what I thought, up until I found one. With a few pics, but it didnt say anything about it, just what it was.

As far as I know Nissan never officially made a RB30DET .. and agree with comments above... but nissan's known to do wierd things in small numbers on the odd occasion, like the genuine sil80's biggrin.gif

Well they did make it, that much Im sure of, but I dont know what in, power figurs etc.

Nissan did what? Genuine sil80's? Now thats just the essence of coolness.

rb30det is a rb30dt with a rb26det head. very pricey . but lots of displacemnt to play with tongue.gif

Wasnt a RB26 head, unless someone did some coustume stuff on it to make it look different.

Yes offically a RB30ET or DET im not exactly sure if it was twin cam but it was realeased in the R31 shaped Tommi Kaira M30.

Nissan also did things like release the R32 GTX , SR20 single cam, automatic transmission......oars anyone?

RB30DET is a hybrid jobby ... I plan on turning my RB30E into a RB30DET eventually .... The head from a RB25(non vvt) wacks right onto the RB30 and is much cheaper than RB26 gear
