i think the ones of your boy need a far smaller DOF, they are too distracting in the background.

I just did a merge to HDR in Photoshop CS3 was fun to do i like the way it turned out i have never done one before so tell me what you think.

I dont know much about HDR.... How do they work.... 3 photos merged or something?

Ghetto Panda
Post #234

Here's a good link that i reckon explains it well for Photoshop CS2 same for CS3.
Mine was three photo's but some people do more just wanted to see how it would turn out.

doesn't look much like HDR. Why no exposed trees?

Ghetto Panda
Post #236

Because i really darkened the trees was more going for the look in the clouds.

Well went into the city today with my fience and her parents that are down on holiday to go to the museum but i got told to leave as i refused to leave my backpack with all my camera gear in it with the museum staff behind a counter.
But oh well i got to walk around and take pics so nothing to bad.

i really like number 5 from the first set, really nice shot, its my pick out of the 2 lots.

good man, for not giving into them, i will never let anyone make me give my camera to them cause it wouldn't be worth their 2 months or more wages to pay for it all.

Nice work Brian,
What lens are u using again? Did you get something with f.2.8, because the lizard ones have great shallow DOF in them. Loving it.
Pretty sharp too.

Just a Tamrom 300mm 4-5.6 i sharpnened the photo's a little in ps but the DOF came up way better than expected.

The second lizard shot was ISO 400, 1/500, f/6 @ 300mm, sharpening and increase in saturation.
Third lizard ISO 400, 1/500, f/10 @ 300mm, sharpening and increase in saturation.

I know bit of a photo whore over the last couple of days but only because it's not raining anymore and we can finally go out so here's some from today.

I hate to say it, but the only one i like is the last one of ur son. Great DOF and has great character.
Others are a bit mundane. Nothing too special in them.
I think u need some inspiration. Look around, find a set of shots u really like and then go out and try and replicate that style urself. That's always helped me when i run out of ideas.

I'm not a huge fan of bird photos, but they are good all the same, just not my style.

Yeah there still is Noise but yeah it's grain. Tyler just check out ebay they have heaps of second hand film's or i got mine from Cash Converters the only thing wrong with my camera is that the auto focus works but won't focus so i have to manual focus but i'm gonna be getting another film camera soonish a Nikon F80 or F100.
Really enjoying using film.
