Hey everyone,

I am not very happy after this morning. it was 2 degrees outside and I went out to get some sunrise shots. As it turned out, they were no where near as good as I hoped they would be. So not worth freezing my ass off for. (DRIF7, I feel for u man!)

anyway, here they are (numbered for reference in ur comments)

that looks like really good place to take pics in the last set, i really like the depth of them especialy no.12
also i like the ones where you have some parts black & white and some colour

like the selective colouring dude but I think some of the pics could go for a more 'flat' colour, as opposed to complete desaturisation.

ie, reproduce the background layer, desaturate it.. change the layer to overlay/hardlight/softlight/vividlight/

vp_s_wagon
Post #90

rightio, didn't really get that, but yeh... can u show me with one of my pics?

postman
Post #91

can you link me to a full colour one of 9?

edit: btw, loving those photo's of the tracks. particularly 7 & 8, i'm a sucker for industrial type shots.

added the original too with same sharpening/resizing for reference.

not perfect by anymeans but imo, the desaturisation lost a touch of the awesome colours/textures

I like your wharf set, particularly #1 and the other 3 similar to it. Nice.

Lance, I have fuk all to take pics of, I have to drive around and find places like that. Although it does help that the wharf is only a 5-10min drive.

Just wondering.
Does anyone on here sell any of their photos? Coz I have had a couple of offers on some of mine and I considered putting them in a couple of coffe/furniture/anywhere shops to get a bit of $$ for them.
Anyone got any experience with that??

I got a chick who prints my photos. I am looking at compiling a website with my photos. Anyone who wishing for me to advertise them for them ( i will take non of thier profit) is more than welcome to show case them

MEEE, please count me in man, I'll help pay for the site costs or whatever. I print all my own pics (at V.High res) at my dad's work for free. If u want I can print any u sell in perth as another form of payment (I can do up to A1 sized prints).

gorgeous! i envy your location (or willfullness to travel)

some of those shots are absolutely brilliant..

I'd say in a few years, you should be holding your own exhibitions to show off your work!

your waterside landscape shots are amazing, keep up the good work biggrin.gif

Hey Fish
I agree with g8keeper guy in the advice about horizons. Basic composition skill is a rule of thirds. Divide the photo into thirds horizontally and vertically and in stead of having the subject of your photos in the center, line them up in the thirds.... tends to be a little more eyecatching... but you probably know that now anyway wink.gif
Btw love the first shot of the car. The water looks great.
Ciao
