awesome harry, i am loving this new style you have started.

im still confused on how its done, can ya give us some steps how its done, i would love to give it a try.
always quality work harry

tyler

its pretty easy to do, this is how i do it, u have a dark room u take a pic with long exposure, turn the lights on to lighten up the room when its empty, then turn the light off so u can go into the photo then when ur in the right spot u get someone to turn lights on then turn lights off then move to a differnt spot then repeat with turning lights on and off. You can use a torch to just light up a small area, the best way to do it tho is if u hav flashes like the last 2 harry put up.

yeh, very close. except that u the room can have a dim light in it, and u only use a torch/flash on the person but dont turn the lights on or u will over expose the room compared to the person.

Put simply
1. open shutter. (EXIF settings: ISO 100, f.20 or so exposure: BULB setting (use some tape or blu tac to hold the button down)).
2. lights on in room for 5 secs. Lights off from now on.
3. model in position, shine torch on model (move the torch over the whole body for about 30secs... dont move!!) or use removable flash, walk up to the model and flash them from about 1.5m away.
4. move model to next spot and repeat... it wont catch the movement unless you have the light shining on them.
5. Release shutter and admire work!

Have a go Tyler, it's great fun.

Ok, I have just been lazy and i think I am getting worse at photography! I have tried a couple of times and I am only getting shit photos. I think I am running out of places, Perth is very limited in terms of photo ops.

Anyway, this weekend I WILL get some decent ones, until then this is all I have.

This one is an aston i saw outside a video shop so i just hung the camera out of the car and started shooting on rapid-fire, it was on auto so it's a bit shit.

This is the mother of all panoramas, it is 4 shots, I photoshopped it at full res which means the original is a 1700x10,000 pixel image, it was using 380mb of ram to run photoshop when i was only dragging the pictures... talk about lag!!

What do u recon?

Cheers
Harry

Cheers Guys,

I'm glad u like it. I hadn't really looked at it as a whole until just after i posted it, i am hapy with how it turned out.
I had only really seen the joins in the 4 photos!
I must say, I am impressed with this lense. I have had zero pincushin in those horizons, not bad for a $150 standard 18-55mm! Still as soft as all hell though!

Cheers

Yeh thats my P.O.S car.
I went out again tonight (at about 9pm) and got SOAKED feet and jeans... there were lots of invisible holes on the shore. Oh well, the camera's fine and i got some ok shots, including another panorama, except this time it is bigger! The last one was a 4 photo with about 25% of each one cropped out to match up. This one is a 6 photo with only 5-10% margin on each.

I know it is too much but i wasnt going to get drenched for some pussy sized pano!
This is it: The full sized one is 16,000x1,900 pixels!

I got some others too.
1. 2. 3.
4.

What do u guys think??
Remember, these were all taken at 9pm, the light in them is all moonlight.

Cheers

Cheers For the comments guys.
They were taken at Attadale forshore.
Tyson, the bottom bit is not actually water, same in number 2 it is sand with water between it.
The EXIF info was:
30 sec exp
f. 8
ISO 200
