I use to work out there too, got to do a tandem skydive with Brad turner too smile.gif
I dont remember the airstrip been that rough, 2 cars side by side, I agree probably not a safe option, lots of grass run off though.
Lots of nice roads in and around there though
Cops are along way fromt this place
The road in to the valley is good fun
lots a of kangaroos and i mean lots.
I would be keen for a cruz out there and a nice feed at the "Pav" one of the pubs there.

how the hell can it be so small that 2 cars couldnt fit side by side.

it would have to be more than 3.5m wide or it would be not wide enough to land a plane on.

dont all runways have to be that wide by law for saftey reasons such as wind drift.

if you cant race 2 cars on a road that wide then please dont come near me when your driving. laugh.gif

u could kindaget too cars side by side BUT

the speeds we would be doin 200 ish, the cars would be too close!!

at the moment we are still working it out, it might or might not happen

Ok to put it into perspective..

We all know how wide a average two lane highway is.... well it's about 1 & 1/4 lanes....

the Planes that land out there are small skydiving planes and ultralights (basically planes with a wheelspan of 1-2 metres long/wide) and the reason it's not more bitumen is because it's got about 1 and a bit metres of grass on each side so just in case the miss the still land on the grass which is fine for small aircraft.

The thing is they don't actually land the planes on the 'runway' part cause it's too rough...

It's seriously like rocks and tar.... not flat pressed bitumen like most roads...

the only run way big enough in qld for this sort of stuff would be the brisbane airport...
and i don't see them letting cars on any time in the next 1000 years laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

hey id be in for a look but not racing side by side, if your equal with some phat as skyline at 200+km/h and his tire blows, collects you and you both kiss your asses good bye, not cool but 1 at a time all good
