Got the same sorta idea as u cams116, wat bout an old pintara/skyline shilouette? 4 door, 6cyl (piss it of in favor of an rb26det or sr20det or something hehe). Was lookin at these when i was first buyin a car, some of them come with a 5spd manual, but that was pretty hard to come by. They are rwd arent they? Not sure bout that sorry. |

Lol true cams - sigmas are shit - but it wud be a good sleeper really - the sigma to most people is the definition of a shitbox. Think if your on the streets in ur VR4 Sigma - a richboy in his WRX or Skyline rocks up next to u, 18 inch rims, loud exhaust all the mates in the back laughing at ur pitiful heap- maybe even a get a real car comment - The driver slides it into first and revs it , the blow off valve and ego exploding. Then just before the ligts go green, you blip the throttle, the VR4 rips into life, dial up 4000 rpm and hear the turbo wail and dump the clutch, leaving the rex or skyline passengers in a state of shock and embarassment - Shit - ur fully done up, big $$$ car got done by a old Siggy - is anything more degrading than that? Plus = the cops wont think twice about you in it. (provided the car aint half rusted ) |

Thats also why I was thinking going a merc, or a commodore. Merc, well who thinks an old merc is fast. And then the commodore, well Id go the bogan look, and because it wont be a V8 its going to be really slow sounding. Then Id get the baby on board sticker, and a baby seat. So does anyone have any baby seats going cheap? |

If you want practicality, and a sleeper, and you don't mind the old skyline idea, how about an r30 5door lift back?(late 80's vintage) any rb series or engine or vh41-45 infinity eng will bolt straight in (cheap car <$1000, frt cut -$1500-2500). Plenty of spare change for bolt ons, providing you can do most of the conversion yourself. hows that for something different?? and the police won't even look up from their doughnut box to look at you   |

how about a FJ20t/Sr20Det conversion in a 85 nissan bluebird trx or wagon even. that would be a nice ride, like this one of brians; http://www.geocities.com/trx910/images/eng_bay_new.jpg SR20 or the FJ20 here http://www.fullboost.com.au/cars/readersca...ebird_tony.html |

I was seriously thinking of getting a grey haired wig, and the old golf hat etc. No joke. If I get the merc I'll do that. If I go the commodore, Im going the full bogan look, even down to a re-spray in primer. |
