A 64-year-old woman was stabbed several times in the head and upper body in an attack at a Sizzler restaurant in Brisbane today.
The woman, with multiple stab wounds to her back and eye, also suffered a punctured lung in the attack by a man in the restaurant in the central city's Myer Centre about 11.15am, police said.

She was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition.

Police said witnesses and staff briefly detained the man but he escaped.

The restaurant and the surrounding area have been cordoned off while police hunt the assailant whom they believe was known to the woman.

No other details are yet available. "

i was in the city when it happened, all these cops running around and some had surgical gloves on...

didnt know what was going on til i heard about it on the radio
*leaves city quickly*

(i heard on the offender resembled hoon, alot)
