Hi everyone smile.gif

Just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you to each and everyone of you for attending. I haven't counted the money as yet as I have a touch of the sun myself and a massive headache (lack of water and stress) not to mention I'm absolutely exhausted.

I will be making a more detailed post in the next few hours I just need a chance to sit back and take a load off.

I will also be contacting Mcleod and trying to post up some sort of survey as for feedback on the day as to what you liked and what you didn't. On a massive postive note Ron Clarke told me this afternoon he is going to make this an official GCCC event on the GCCC calander as his words were "hugley happy and overwhelmed by the car scenes politeness and generosity".

Once again thank you all from the bottom of my heart. No offence but I have on last thing to say, that being "Thank Christ it's over" laugh.gif

Rick, we chatted to a copper for a fair while up near the entrance, and he also had glowing reports on the behaviour within the carpark.
he went on to talk about the M1 racing etc etc, but did say that days like today were a good reflection on true car enthusiasts.

i ended up being so fucking sick.. and in dire need to get home and on the way back there was 3 cars.. a red integra, black civic (i think it was a civic) and a black GTiR... the GTiR filming.. as the integra and civic slowed right down...

but on a good note.. i'm feeling slightly better (slightly heh, very very slightly) for the time i was there and wasnt sick.. it was good.. and good to have a day out with the oldschools too..

PS. i wasnt sick from anything to do with the BBQ tongue.gif i think i have the flu.. and i've been unwell for a few days.. just not quite as bad as today

Sorry people for being a bit slow tonight as I do feel very sick from the sheer heat, stress and lack of sleep over the past few days

Ok thanks Pat for that feedback from the Police. I invited them on Friday to attend and put on a display and told them we wanted their presence and they had our full support in raping idiots. I did speak to one car today (green Torana hatchback) but I knew the guys and a bit of a "wake up or bugger off and I know where you live" had them pulling their heads in and out the carpark in a flash! Also to the idiot in the gold VL that refused to pay today and carried on like a absolute fool I hope you never bless the car scene with your presence again angry.gif Ron's comment had me speechless tho and still very flabbergasted by it

There will be a mountain of changes next year for sure, from judging to food, drinks, times special sections for different manafactures/power sections etc etc. Today was a massive learning curve and test and I do apologise to anyone that found problems and rest asured next year things will be better orgainsed.

Sorry for this morning, bloody 4wd decided today of all days to have a flat battery sad.gif

Next year is gonna be a whole lot of awesomeness!

pray.gif Congrats again to Rick and all the other people behind the scenes (you know who you are =D ) for such a great day. Too bad about the poor luck with your fourby, but it all got sorted thumbsup.gif

After looking at all the pictures (Mcleod's especially), I can't believe how much I missed!!! ohmy.gif I forgot to venture into the other carpark silly me =P

Apart from the severe sunburn (join the club cool.gif ), the day was crackers! Sadly, by the looks of it this afternoon, you will have to hold BBQ's for months on end with all the left over bread and drinks etc.

It will be interesting to see how things on the financial side develop hsdance.gif

Mate it's a great idea but it's still really a charity event , so therfore shits an giggles. I mean who knows I have plans to make it a very well known yearly event and the biggest carshow for the year in S.E. Q.L.D. but it's hard when it's a fun day for charity raising tho.

Don't know about you guys but where else do you see 600+ cars on display for a car show in S.E. Q.L.D. dunno.gif and some mighty fine ones at that. Just look at Chad's minitruck, and Shane's "STUNER" Holden ute for examples.

Sorry I haven't counted the money yet as I just can't concentrate with this bloody headache

Indeed. Patty boy and I had wuite the chat with him and he was a pretty nice guy I must admit. For anyone who was tehre this was teh same police officer that blocked off teh overpass at mudgee shell on the motorbike on saturday tongue.gif he wasnt too fussed though and was EXTREMELY impressed with everyone's behaviour so big props to everyone I think we showed the public that the majority of the gold coast and surrounding area's car scene are sensible genuine enthusiasts.

Im madcore sunburnt, so bad I have sunglass tan on my face cool.gif

Was a pleasure helping out and count me in as a volunteer for the next one thumbsup.gif

I had a fab day - thanks for Fri22 for taking me with him!

And bashings for everyone who kept picking on me for wearing all black! I dont feel the heat like you weird people!

I was really impressed by everyones behaviour, except the few known culprits - they never will learn to be mature and put on a good display. They are the ones that give us all bad names. I hope, if you are reading this that you will realise you are no longer welcomed back to events like this.

A huge thanks and congratulations to everyone who helped out on the day, I think it was absolutely marvellous, I've never been to anything like it and it was great to see everyone out just enjoying the cars and the scene for what it truely should be.

Now.. off to work to be picked on for my very strange sunburn pattern. ohnoes.gif
