Hey all, as Rick has mentioned, I have a survey I'd love for people to fill out. I thought I'd attach it to the forum for people to look at & fill out to give to me on Sunday. (There are 2 copies of the survey on the Word doc attached.) I'm interested in these questions as much for my own research but also to help the community learn a bit more about you all.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. The results (assuming I get enough people filling out surveys) will be available to you all when they are compiled.

Come and say hi, fill out a survey or return one on Sunday. Just look for me wearing a bright pink Nissan EXA/NX club shirt and I'll be there with NXT51, the red NX.

Cheers,
Claire

Ok folks, with much regret I must be the bearer of bad news sad.gif If the weather continues the same way it has now since Sunday we will have to postpone the event until a weekend in January.

The reason being is that MrsGSR and myself have had to spend a lot of our own money buying drinks, meat, bread and stickers for the event as we were unable to secure a sponsor. All up LJ and I have spent $3000 of our own money we were hoping to recover from the money raised. If we went ahead with it and had all the sausages and bread made and it rained like it is today on Sunday we would be wasting 3000 sausages, a hundred odd loaves of bread etc etc.

If there is no change in the weather by 9am tomorrow morning, we feel we will have no choice but to postpone the event. sad.gif

PEOPLE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU KNOW WHICH SHOW SECTIONS YOU WISH TO ENTER IN AS WHEN YOU PAY YOUR MONEY TO THE CRUISE SECTION LEADERS AT THE DESIGNATED MEETING POINTS AND RECEIVE YOUR STICKERS, CRUISE LEADERS WILL THEN BE NOTING DOWN THE SECTIONS WHICH YOU WISH TO BE JUDGED IN WHICH WILL THEN BE PASSED TO US AT THE BWCP AND THEN ON TO THE TROPHY SPONSORS WHOM WILL BE JUDGING. IN ORDER TO SAVE TIME AND PROBLEMS ON THE MORNING AT THE MEETING POINTS PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE FULLY AWARE OF THE SECTIONS WHICH YOU WISH TO ENTER.

IF YOU DO NOT KNOW PLEASE REFER BACK TO THE ORIGINAL POST ON THE VERY FRONT PAGE AS TO THE TROPHY SECTIONS.

WE ARE TRYING TO MAKE THIS AS EASY AND SIMPLE FOR EVERYONE AS WE CAN BUT IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK WE NEED YOUR HELP TOO.

Thanks kindly smile.gif

JUST TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION tongue.gif

1.)Yes it's included in the $10 (sticker and entry as a car owner to the BWCP and show).
2.)Yes anyone can enter as it's all for fun
3.)No there will not be a db tester there (Chris assures me we knows what he's looking for)
4.)Yes you can enter as many sections as you like

P.S. Just remember that the LS1 Crew are the Gods of the site, so don't go getting all cocky thinking EW2 are tongue.gif

Thanks Dave smile.gif

They simply ran out of time for me to say thanks to those that helped us, but I tried to give BC as best plug as I could (hope it worked). I should be back on the air on Monday to report on how it all went and fingers crossed then I will be able to give all those that helped a plug on air smile.gif

We only have one problem tho, some of you may have heard ealier that a dogwash service claim they will be in the BWCP from 7am - 1pm doing dogwashes. Now I have written permission and conformation here from the GCCC that we have exclusive use of the BWCP so I'll have to look into this problem A.S.A.P.

how are you going to stop people from parking in the car park before everyone gets there?

There are usually a few cars on sundays
And what if they are at work and leave there cars there all day? Just park around them?

Barriers will be put up from 6am.

It appears the GCCC have double booked angry.gif the BWCP with a charity dog wash so now to add to the headaches I have to sort this mess out, pick up the trophies, pick up the stickers, go to Brisbane to pay for the drinks and then drop the stickers and entrant sheets off to the cruise leaders sad.gif

Oh what a day it will be!

Can I get clarity on this... I've just been emailed from a friend of a friend of a friend - who said if the weather is raining the event will be postponed????

I know there's been a lot of effort put into this - so it seems unlikely just to put it off cause of the rain.

Rick - can you confirm/deny this? If so - can you put it in the 1st post of this thread that the event WILL NOT be postponed and it'll go ahead regardless of weather patterns, planetary alignments etc?

Yes mate I can confirm with you that THE EVENT WILL GO AHEAD RAIN HAIL OR SHINE ON SUNDAY AND IT WILL NOT BE POSTPONED

I'm just trying to sort this other problem out with the BWCP as we speak

king of the concrete jungle
Post #277

OK THE PROBLEM WITH THE BWCP HAS BEEN SORTED AND WE DO HAVE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE BWCP. THE DOG WASH WILL NOT BE IN THE BWCP ITSELF, THEY IN FACT WILL BE IN THE GRASSED PARK AREA BESIDE IT
