Hi, for the northsiders ,why not meet at the Boondall Entertainment centre. Also the north Coast people could also Join up the as it only just off the gateway Motorway. It is not that far from Maccas Aspley.
There are plenty of carparks, is public property gates open at 6am for the parkland and is easy to get to for everyone
and is easy to get to the southside and possibly meet up with the rest of the cruisers

also re the Boondall Entertainmentr Centre, you will not cause inconvience to christmas shoppers like you would at a shopping centre car park, there are plenty of toilets , taps and shade to meet under for the ones who get there early.
It would not be tat hard to organise a breakfast bar.b.q with money raised from that to also go to the hospital. I would imagine one of the service clubs, (lions,Rotary and such would do the catering for the Breakfast.

Just a thought

I think one of the main reason we always use aspley is because its straight down gympie road down the inner city bypass and on to the freeway and then theres no toll involved.

Might be a good idea but alot of people dont like to pay toll

It's not the actual toll price, but the congestion it may cause with maybe 50-200 cars all in a row that will need to stop hence causing problems for the flow of traffic and then cars in the cruise being seperated.

Trust me, Leisa and I have had to think of a lot of problems that may arise and make plans to counteract them from happening.

I don't think 200 cars are going to all make it through all the traffic lights going up Gympie Rd and Lutwyche Rd without being split up.
All that is required is the convoy to travel in the left lane until they all catch up. The roadway is at least 2 lanes wide all the way plus there is the truck stop to pull into if need be.

If they can run over 200 trucks from fishermans island to the hyperdome in the Convoy for Kids then surely 200 cars can cope.
Just a thought.

Ok ladies and gentleman.

We are now just over one week away from the cruise date so I need to ask for everyones help and support to make this really work.

I have ordered 4000 sausages and 4000 slices of bread for the BBQ that will be held in the BWCP. I was unable to get full sponsorship for bread and meat, however I was able to get them at a very reasonable price of $4.90 per kilo. I am still waiting to see if I was lucky enough to obtain full sponsorship for drinks.

Also the person making the stickers has unfortunately pulled out and I have had to pay for them to be made. I have ordered 4000 stickers as EVERYONE WHOM PAYS THEIR $10 GETS A STICKER. They will be a special comemorative BC sticker as well made from PVC and are 30cm long by 8cm high and cost a total price of $1188, or basically 29c per sticker

Trophies look great, they have the BC logo on them, are about 20cm tall with a black marble base, gold "V" shape with circle in the middle at the top with the BC logo in the middle of a metalic silver circle and red BC logo and writing. They look great and thanks to those sponsoring the classes.

Now I need your help and support. I have to make sure we sell all meat, drinks and bread and stickers. I'm sure we can fit 1000 cars in the BWCP as there would be that many in there on a Sturday night for sure. Please, please spread the word hi and low and lets make this a car cruise that S.E. Q.L.D. will never forget! It will put to shame all those that knock us and believe we are bad people. If we can get 4000 people to attend and everyone pay $4.00 for a sausage sandwhich and drink we can raise about $50,000 in one day ohmy.gif , and that's a might fine effort! Imagine the looks on peoples faces when we, the car scene raise that mch money in a few hours doing what we enjoy the most.

Please spread the word and lets make it not just a massive day, but an OMEGA one smile.gif

Meet at one of the meeting points on the front page and you can pay and collect your sticker there.

Remember the BBQ lunch for $4, there will be a mighty raffle wth some excellent prizes too so it should be a great day.

If we can get 4000 people we should be able to raise $50,000 so lets do it to show those that think we are all bad people when the car scene raises money we really raise money smile.gif
