ok i have a 1970 v6 gt capri that gets a bit hot every once in a while especially in hot wether or in stop start traffic i frequently have to short shift / drive at under 110km/hr on the highway to keep temps down it only happens on 30degree or hotter days it has a smallish factory radiator and factory water pump it had one thrmo fan on it when we got it, has 2 now but still gets hot the motor is modifyed a fair bit i'm just wondering what i can do to keep temps down it doesn't have any blockages or anything just a shit 1970 cooling system after putting another thermo fan on the problem isn't as bad but is still a pain in the ass i was thinking putting a bigger radiator possibly a xf falcon radiator in or possibly a better water pump the problem i have is that a xf radiator is about twice as big as the factory one and i'm gunna have to cut metal out to fit it, in south africa the car came out factory with a v8 so a v8 radator will fit i have an autometer temp gauge which is in degree's farinheight, what is a good temp for a car to run at??? i try to keep it between 180 and 200 degree's F what is a better radiator that would be easier to fit anyone got any idea's on what else i could do to keep temps down -------------------- i'd like to thank my proud sponsers "ANARCHY" & "Shitbox Racing"

Piss off the factory item, Fit a big fuck off 3 core multipass, check the thermostat / remove the guts of it all together if you wana get serious. |

yeah was thinking about an electric water pump there doesn't seem to be much pressure there with the stock unit |

i don't think there's anything wrong with the thermostat it i think it has a 170degree one in it now |
