Gemini's are great for engine replacements. Good choise of car firstly. Your options are endless however the most common are V6 supercharged, eg commodore s pac, g200, ca18det, 2.6 turbo from rodeo, 13bt or any other crazy idea you have al you have to do is find a friendly mechanic who can greenslip it. |

turbo the 1600 motor 4 shizzle... do a search and u'll find someone posted something about the conversion with a link to a site that sells the stuff u need.. (sorry i can't remember it) u can get a blow thru turbo carby setup, however there is the option of going the EFI route, and he has all the parts u need 2 do it on that site (excluding ecu),,,... |

Plenty of conversions are possible in a gemi due to the size of the engine bay. Just depends what sort of money you want to spend doing the conversion. |

When i had my Gemi i was always after the 4ZC1 from the Piazza. But never possible to find it, then some dick wrote my Gemi off. Check hotgemini.com, also NISMOgemini is probably the best person to talk to with his FJ20 Gemini. Matthew Spry and Sherringham have both got good examples of very nice conversions. I suppose the 4ZE1 Rodeo engine would be relatively cheap and simple, and maybe best benefit is high torque but not all that much else. So comes down to what your personal preference in engine is. If youd also like to know which workshop/s not to deal with pm me, as i know of some sketchy dealers being uncovered 'specialising' in geminis |

My cousin did the RB20DET conversion to his gemini, thinking that it would be a straight fit. went to put the bonnet back on only to find that the new engine stuck out too much. he then had to mod the engine mounts which took more time and money. so be careful with reserching the new engine to make sure that u know all the work that needs to be done for it. |

talk to ron (16OTU) red tg gemini hehehehe ---------------- http://www.giant.net.au/users/wight/ HIGHLY recomended fellow to deal with. |

nah gems never came with the 2L .. there the rodeo 2L that everyone uses.. they are the 2L version of the gemini 1600 and they dont need to be mod plated (as fare as i know (i never plated mine, RTA said i didnt need to)) |

this should clear it up a bit (note a gemini weight is about 950kg) |

Rebuilt Mitsubishi Astron 2.6, we actually got the last astron motor in existence, been sitting in japan for like 12 years, YES YES YES YES YES! But yeah, dad's put a webber on it, tuned it and the motherfucker puts out 450nm of torque, |

Well, you can put anything in there, as long as your willing to pay the engineer fees and upgrade the bits that need upgrading, you can put anything in it |
