Hey all, For anyone with a s12 Gazelle or Stanza with s12 diff (40rst). Found this out due to experimenting and boredom today.. a straight bolt on brake upgrade for the s12 diff. .. series 3 Bluebird TRX diff. All you gotta do is rip out the axles with brakes still attached, and stick 'em into the Gazelle diff housing, hook up the brake lines and bingo! noone would ever know that it's had an upgrade, looks like it was factory fitted. If you're thinking to yourself "why not just take the brake bits off", stop right there. To do that you gotta take off the bearings from the axles (and that's a lot of stuffing around) - this way is quicker and easier. Oh, you also need the studs from the axle tubes (what holds the axle into the housing) as they're 10mm longer than the drum brake ones. |
