Yea, I know...I was playin. In Car Unit: Goods: Better range, no need for batteries, more flashing lights. Bads: Can't take it out of the car and go for a walk, big ugly antenna on your car. Even if it is a slim antenna, it's still ugly. Hand Held Unit: Goods: Portable, goes anywhere. Fits in your pocket. Bads: Uses batteries, unless you buy some rechargables - it costs more, not a powerful range. Question is....which would YOU prefer? |

Well I recently got a handheld Uniden 040. I wouldn't regret getting a handheld for a sec, it's kinda permanent if you have an in-car one and you can't take it around with you. I have heard the Uniden's are very good on batteries too so there isn't any real need to get rechargable, unless perhaps you get another brand. |
