Our work horse ute recently died in the ass in a pretty bad way (head gasket blew and engine seized / melted :x ) How ever apart from that is in good nick in all other areas. Its a '97 mazda bravo tray back. My question is.......would this make a descent project for a mini truck? I've always thought they were pretty kick ass but never thought about building one nor am I that clued up about how to go about it. I think they are going to get rid of it cheap, I asked today and was told around $5000 and said how 'bout $2000 . Are there as many (if any) aftermarket parts for these as rodeos and hilux's. I realise its a tray back but I think it could still work. And obviously with a fuked engine I have an excuse to put something sweet in its place..... Anyway any feed back would be appreciated. |

Man I would say it comes down to personal preference. I don't own a mini truck but I have seen them around and yeah I reckon if you do the right things to them they look totally mad. |

thats a good point, I have had my eye on it since it been sitting in the workshop collecting dust and think that its got some good potential. Its just that I haven't seen many bravos on the street (done up that is) and thought there may be reasons for that. |

SR would of been my engine of choice. Or maybe I could shoe horn in a 1JZ (in a ute SWEET ) I'll see what they end up wanting for it. The only 2 thingz holding me back is the lack of folding stuff and the fact that I only just got my 180 which I have already started getting into. But even still wether I go for now or not I always have my next project up my sleeve! |

Personally I think it'd be a great idea to have that as a project. Just make sure you keep it registered, and when your finished, take it into QLD transport, and have the engine numbers changed. Odds are they'll never notice the different engine, even with NISSAN plastered on it. |
