Here's tonight's lead news story. Safe to say that the driver of the stolen vehicle is an oxygen thief. QUOTE Three dead after head-on crash involving stolen car
Tom Livingstone 3 hrs ago Three people have died after a stolen car crashed into another vehicle while travelling on the wrong side of a motorway north of Brisbane overnight. Police are investigating after a stolen vehicle crashed head-on into another car in Brisbane's north overnight. Shortly before midnight, a police patrol car spotted the stolen Mitsubishi 4WD in Lutwyche and attempted to pull it over before the driver allegedly sped off. A short time later, police allege the stolen vehicle was travelling the wrong way in the southbound lanes on Gympie Arterial Road in Bald Hills when it crashed into another car travelling in the opposite direction. A female driver in the other car died at the scene and two passengers in the stolen vehicle also lost their lives. The driver of the other car, a 36-year-old woman, and a passenger in the stolen car were found dead at the scene. Another female passenger in the stolen car was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition but she died a short time later. The driver of the stolen car is under police guard at Princess Alexandra Hospital. "We are going to continue the investigation and see if any of the occupants in the vehicle heading north had any illicit substances on board, so we will be checking for alcohol and also for drugs," Queensland Police Inspector Adam Muir told 9News. Forensic Crash officers have begun an investigation. |

On Sunday, I had the opportunity to experience two polar opposites in the automotive world. In the morning I had the chance to drive a fully electric car. All I can say is that it is a car. No emotion, no fun, simply something to get you from one place to another. Absolutely fine for 95% of the population including myself. Would be great to drive to and from work. In the afternoon, I did a straight pipe to my new project. I could not stop giggling, going full throttle, annoying everyone else on the road. The smell, the sound, the pops and bangs, it was intoxicating. I was thinking today how two object that do the same task can awaken such different emotions. |
