The popular department store has started to phase out the sale of CDs and DVDs, with many customers left frustrated that there's been no official public announcement by the retailer. The outlet has long been the retailer of choice among shoppers looking for entertainment bargains. Kmart is also going to stop selling CDs and DVDs online. As a growing proportion of daily life migrates to digital platforms, Kmart has decided to phase out the sale of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray 'As part of Kmart expanding range of in house designed products we have made the decision to exit DVDs, CDs and Blue-ray products so as to allow space within the store for our new creative and activity based kids' products,' a Kmart spokesperson told FEMAIL. 'At present, our DVDs, CDs and Blue-ray products are currently on clearance as part of the transition, we thank our customers and suppliers for their support.' All entertainment discs are currently on clearance at the retail giant for between 25 and 50 per cent off. |
