It's based on 7 books, of which I have been a fan all my life. Looks like they've absolutely butchered it. |

Trance DJ and producer Robert Miles has passed away aged 47. The Swiss-born star, who was most famous for his '90s smash-hit Children, passed away from an unreported illness, according to DJ Mag Italia. Miles, real-name Robert Concina, scored a number one hit in six countries with his iconic floor-filler before moving on to more experimental sounds; eventually setting up Open Lab (a Balearic radio station). His death was first reported by DJ Mag Italia, which explained that Robert had passed away from as of yet unknown illness. "The tragic news of the death of a very talented artist of our time, makes me incredulous and upset,” said his longtime friend, Joe T Vannelli. |

loved the first movie, the remake was pitiful however..... QUOTE Judge Dredd is Getting a Live-Action TV Series Called JUDGE DREDD: MEGA CITY ONE!
Since Karl Urban blew us away in Dredd, fans have been chomping at the bit for a sequel. Over the years there have been lots of rumors and fan petitions to get the sequel made, but so far nothing has come of it. BUT...it looks like fans will be getting the next best thing to a sequel...a live-action TV series. Entertainment Weekly announced the new series Judge Dredd: Mega City One. They describe it: "The show is set in a future where the East Coast of the U.S. has become a crowded and crime-ridden megalopolis. It will be an ensemble drama about a team of Judges — futuristic cops invested with the power to be judge, jury, and executioner — as they deal with the challenges the future-shocked 22nd century throws at them." No cast has been announced yet, as the project is still in early development. Three producers from the 2012 Dredd film are attached as Executive Producers (Stuart Ford, Jason and Chris Kingsley), in addition to Mark Stern, known for developing Syfy Network's Battlestar Galactica and Defiance. He told EW: “This is one of those seminal sci-fi properties that seems to only become and more relevant with age,” said Stern in a statement. “Not only is it a rich world with biting social commentary, but it’s also fun as hell! As a fan of the comics and both films, it’s a dream come true..." The EPs are taking the project very seriously and are aware of the passion fans have for Dredd. “Thanks to the legions of fans who have kept up pressure on social media, and a lot of background work and enthusiasm, we aim to make a big budget production that will satisfy both our vast comics audience and the even greater general screen-watching public.” There is no word on if this show will have any direct ties to the feature film, but based on the look of the poster (below) it looks like it will definitely kick ass! I'm pretty stoked about this announcement and the fact it's coming from some guys that have brought us high-quality TV and film. What do you think about Dredd having his own series? Do you still want a Karl Urban sequel? |

QUOTE NEW No-Prep Monster Unveiled - WHITE ZOMBIE 1320video Published on May 11, 2017 The crew of the SWAMP THING Long Top who have been seen on the New Orleans Street Outlaws brought their new creation (The White Zombie) to the San Antonio Bounty Hunters No-Prep race... and Holy CRAP the paint on this thing is AMAZING! This ain’t your ordinary crowd-hunting Zombie (if it were, it would be a Mustang). This Zombie survives off of Nitrous - not blood. It moves FAST - not slow. It’s, quite honestly - one of the COOLEST looking car’s we’ve ever seen! Especially at a no-prep event, where racers are accustomed to hitting the wall, patching up, and making it to the next round. This happened to be the White Zombie’s first event, and we CAN’T WAIT to see more of it! |

R.I.P. Catweazle QUOTE Geoffrey Bayldon dies aged 93 Geoffrey Bayldon has died at the age of 93. The British actor was best known for portraying the Crowman in 'Worzel Gummidge' from 1979 until 1981 and he also appeared in 1979 movie adaptation of the sitcom 'Porridge' as Governor. He is believed to have passed away on Wednesday (10.05.17), with details of his death yet to be revealed. BBC presenter Lizo Mzimba announced the sad news on Twitter on Thursday (11.05.17). He wrote: "Sad news. Actor Geoffrey Bayldon, best known for playing Catweazle and Worzel Gummidge's Crowman has passed away aged 93 his agency has says (sic)." Geoffrey, who was Born in Leeds in North England, started off his career serving in the RAF before he trained to become an actor at London's Old Vic theatre. Bayldon became famous after landing a role in Sidney Poitier's 'To Sir With Love' in the 60s and he also landed the role of Q in the original film 'Casino Royale' in 1967. He most recently appeared in 'New Tricks' and he had a small part in 'My Family' before he retired in 2010. Bayldon also famously turned down the role of the Doctor in 'Doctor Who' on a few occasions. Explaining his reasons, he said: "I've never been in love with sci-fi. It doesn't terribly interest me. I turned it down simply because I'd been playing old men and I didn't want to play any more." However, despite his lack of passion for sci-fi, he made an appearance in 1979's 'The Creature from the Pit'. |

I would buy the wife a Bentayga, Range Rover or a G Wagon and be done with it. She can stay home whilst I fill the garage with other more interesting vehicles. |

That's a good idea, they could use that here. Japan is fascinating like that - widely perceived as a highly technologically advanced country but in reality super analogue and very slow adopters of tech. They got Visa debit cards LAST year, and have just started to roll out NFC payments (though still not on cards, just phones/wearables) THIS year. |
