I ended up contacting them and thats when they said either collect the plates or wait for rego to expire and fill in a form saying you no longer own it but has to be after the rego expires which is 6th April, was also told to keep filling in stat decs till that time and keep scanning the bill of sale which is what I've been doing. sounds like you've got it covered 'legitimately' mind you, i'm a fan of the strategy of rocking up at 2am in the morning and unscrewing the plates. |

QUOTE 3000+hp Blown C7 Pro Mod - Al Anabi Performance! 1320video Published on Feb 18, 2016 HOURS spent on this Beautiful 3000+HP C7 Corvette for passes that only take SECONDS. Hitting that record breaking number doesn’t just happen, it takes making runs and making changes! Pass after pass, the team an AAP would take the car back to the shop to squeeze out whatever they could find! Hard work paid off at the end of this week as all of their passes got them to where they needed to be. However if you ask some of the AAP staff, they think Sheik Khalid was holding out for "the right pass". |

QUOTE JEFF LUTZ TAKES ON AUSTRALIA’S BEST AT LIGHTS OUT IN QLD
Street Machine Willowbank Raceway saw its biggest crowd since the Winternationals when American Jeff Lutz and Doc from Street Outlaws came out to play last Friday night. Jeff Lutz is best known for Hot Rod Drag Week, which he won in 2014, and along with Doc he has appeared on the popular Discovery Channel reality show Street Outlaws. He also holds the honour of laying down the quickest pass of Drag Week during the 2015 event with his Pro Mod-style Camaro: 6.05@251mph. Unfortunately Lutz didn’t finish that year. Both Jeff and Doc were guests of Michael ‘Gup’ Gilbert from Powercruise, and while Doc hasn’t got his wild Monte Carlo here with him, Jeff brought out his Evil Twin ’57 to compete at the Lights Out meeting at Willowbank last Friday, which he raced against Scott Porter’s Sport Compact Nissan and Ben Bray’s Doorslammer Corvette. The Evil Twin ’57 is so-named because it’s a lighter and quicker replica of his previous flat black Beast ’57 Chev. Both cars run the same set-up: twin 88mm turbos on a 632ci big-block with a Rossler 210 transmission with a Gear Vendors overdrive to help with the road miles. The difference is all in the weight – 3800lb versus 3000lb. The Evil Twin Chev runs mid-sixes at over 220mph on the quarter. Jeff Lutz 57 Chev© Street Machine Staff Jeff Lutz 57 Chev In the end Lutz lost both rounds, although the match-up with Ben Bray was very close after Bray smoked the startline. To be fair though, we don’t expect to see Bray or Porter doing 1200 miles between five tracks any time soon. The crowd was massive, with reports of traffic jams for kilometres leading to Willowbank to see Lutz and Doc in person. Both also attended Powercruise Powerplay last weekend at Queensland Raceway. If you want to catch up with the guys, they’ll be at Lights Out Sydney and Powercruise Sydney in two weeks. The Lights Out meeting will be the same format as Willowbank: eighth-mile, heads-up, win light with no times. Lights Out will be on 26 February at Sydney Dragway, while Powercruise Sydney will be running 25-28 February across the road at Sydney Motorsport Park. If that isn’t enough, there’s a $70,000 burnout competition on Saturday night, 27 February at Sydney Dragway. That’s going to be a huge weekend for Sydney race and burnout fans. Check out www.powercruise.com for all the details. |

We're happy to report both drivers are doing just fine due to their safety equipment. |

http://www.msn.com/en-au/entertainment/mus...back/ar-BBnvP9e QUOTE Journey frontman Steve Perry planning 2016 comeback Reclusive former Journey frontman Steve Perry is planning a comeback next year, after recording his first solo album in over two decades. In a radio chat with KSWD-FM in Los Angeles, the Don't Stop Believin' singer revealed he has spend much of 2015 recording new material, joking he has been in the studio "for years". "The truth is, I finally went into the studio in March, and I've been in there ever since, just trying to finish this record," he said. The new record will be his first since 1994's For the Love of Strange Medicine. "I'm looking forward to finishing it, put it that way. I want to get it done probably in the early part of this coming year." Perry isn't the only old rocker planning a major comeback in 2016 - Phil Collins recently revealed he has ended his retirement and has been rehearsing for a tour next year. Here's one of Journey's hits. For the keen amongst you, you'll remember that this song was recently used in the movie Tron Legacy, before Sam Flynn found the secret room in the arcade parlour. |

slightly old news but meh. QUOTE Molly Meldrum seen out and about in Melbourne for the first time since horror Thailand accident that almost cost him his arm
As a result of the accident, Meldrum dislocated his shoulder and was left dangerously close to being paralysed Meldrum misjudged his step when he climbed out of a taxi in January this year outside a Bangkok hotel, leaving him with serious injuries. The accident left him dangerously close to being paralysed with reports suggesting he had come within millimetres of severing his spinal cord. Despite dislocating his shoulder during the ordeal he was relieved he did not have to undergo another back surgery. In December 2011, Meldrum slipped off a three-metre ladder at his Richmond home, south-east of Melbourne. The life-threatening ordeal left him in a coma for five weeks in intensive care after suffering head injuries, a fractured skull, swelling to the brain, cracked vertebrae, broken shoulder and ribs. The veteran had escaped to Thailand in a bid to avoid publicity following the Molly miniseries but ended up in headlines after the accident. Mr Meldrum's brother is believed to have flown to Thailand earlier this month in order to fly him home. Meldrum's casual stroll also comes after he revealed to the Daily Telegraph he had given up drinking vodka - having turned to the alcohol in order to cope with the aftermath of his accident. However the alcohol instead added to his stress levels and mental strain. He revealed a bottle of vodka is now displayed in his home as a reminder of his ordeal. |

okay then, i'll just leave this here........ QUOTE Teenage wife of Sydney terror suspect Sameh Bayda arrested in NSW Police investigation
The teenage wife of Sydney terrorism suspect Sameh Bayda has been arrested and New South Wales Police plan to lay terrorism charges against her. Alo-Bridget Namoa, 18, was arrested in relation to an ongoing investigation into terror-related activities. Police planned to charge the 18-year-old woman from Auburn with recklessly possessing a thing connected to a terrorist act and recklessly collecting documents connected to a terrorist act, Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn said. Deputy Commissioner Burn said the police were not dealing with any new specific threat. "We are working around the clock," she said. "We will be alleging that it is connected to a terrorist act and that will come out in court. "We will be alleging that the item that she had possession of was a knife, and we will be alleging that the documents that we collected were related to the act also." Deputy Commissioner Burn said the arrests were connected to matters that had already been put before the court. "So I really stress that this is not a fresh matter," she said. When asked to describe what the documents were, Deputy Commissioner Burn said she was limited in what she could say because she did not want to jeopardise the matters before the court. "The investigation will continue and we will continue, as I say, to investigate any matter... that we come across that might be linked with terrorism," she said. "We might not put the person before the court at the time, but if we are investigating such information and we believe that they are involved, persistence [by investigators] pays off." Bayda, also 18, is being held in jail on three counts of collecting documents likely to facilitate terrorist acts. Earlier this month, Namoa was charged with 31 counts of failing to answer questions in relation to her husband's charges. Namoa, currently being held at Guildford Police Station, is expected to face court later today. |
