'Jihadi John' Believed Killed in US Drone Strike, US Officials Say

The ISIS terrorist dubbed "Jihadi John", who oversaw the brutal executions of American and Western hostages, was hit by a U.S. air strike Thursday night and is believed to have been killed, U.S. officials told ABC News.

One official said the jihadist, Mohammed Emwazi, was thought to be hit as he left a building in Raqqa, Syria, and entered a vehicle. The official called it a "flawless" and “clean hit” with no collateral damage and that Emwazi basically "evaporated."

"U.S. forces conducted an airstrike in Raqqa, Syria, on Nov. 12, 2015 targeting Mohamed Emwazi, also known as 'Jihadi John,'" Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said.

"Emwazi, a British citizen, participated in the videos showing the murders of U.S. journalists Steven Sotloff and James Foley, U.S. aid worker Abdul-Rahman Kassig, British aid workers David Haines and Alan Henning, Japanese journalist Kenji Goto, and a number of other hostages," Cook said. "We are assessing the results of tonight's operation and will provide additional information as and where appropriate."

Diane Foley, the mother of Emwazi's first victim James Foley, told ABC News Emwazi's potential death would be "really a small solace to us."

"This huge effort to go after the this deranged man filled with hate when they can't make half that effort to save the hostages while these young Americans were still alive," said Foley, who was been critical of the U.S. government's hostage policy.

Richard Clarke, a former counter-terrorism advisor to the White House and current ABC News consultant, said, "Since ISIS has used propaganda and its 'winner' image to lure new adherents, when its propaganda figure is killed that makes it look more like a loser, more like the tide may be turning against it."

After Emwazi was unmasked and identified in media reports in February, he ceased to appear in videos for ISIS.

Done 300km's and feel absolutely fine,just need a steroid injection in my shoulder and i'm good to go. Shame the rain is going to ruin the weekend or i'd probably do my normal 500-600km trip. I'm not sure if its me but this one feels more comfortable and looks brand new.

Paris attacks: shootings and explosions leave at least 158 dead

At least 158 people have died in Paris in a seemingly coordinated wave of gun and suicide bomb attacks, prompting the French president, François Hollande, to declare a state of emergency and shut the country's borders.

What seems likely to be the most deadly terrorist attack in Europe since the 2004 train bombings in Madrid saw gun attacks at a rock concert and two restaurants, along with a series of blasts near the Stade de France, where the national side were playing Germany in an international football match.

Police officials told AP that two of the incidents near the stadium involved suicide attacks, with three people reported to be killed.

By far the bloodiest of the incidents resulted in about 100 people being killed at a concert by a US rock group, Eagles of Death Metal, when gunmen opened fire inside the Bataclan concert venue in the 11th arrondissement. Many people in the crowd were reportedly held hostage before armed police stormed the venue, killing two attackers.

One concertgoer, Julien Pearce, a journalist from Europe 1 radio, said he saw two or three men armed with Kalashnikov-type rifles burst in midway through the concert and begin shooting blindly at the crowd� for a number of minutes.

Everyone was running in all directions towards the stage,� he said. It was a stampede and even I was trampled on. I saw a lot of people hit by bullets. The gunmen had loads of time to reload at least three times. They werent masked; they knew what they were doing; they were very young.�

The authorities warned people to remain indoors where possible and closed the Metro system.

The attacks come 10 months after 20 people died during attacks by Islamist gunmen on the offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, located close to the Bataclan theatre, and a kosher supermarket in Paris.

Hollande cancelled plans to attend this weekend G20 summit in Turkey and convened a cabinet meeting. In a TV address to the nation, he declared a state of emergency.

This is a terrible ordeal that again assails us,� he said. We know where it comes from, who these criminals are, who these terrorists are.�

He said the attackers wanted to scare us and fill us with dread�. He added: There is dread, but in the face of this dread, there is a nation that knows how to defend itself, that knows how to mobilise its forces and, once again, will defeat the terrorists.

The state of emergency would be in force across France, Hollande said, meaning some place might be closed and people searched. He said: The second decision I have made is to close the borders. We must ensure that no one enters to commit any crimes and that those who have committed the crimes that we have unfortunately seen can also be arrested if they should leave the territory.

The events brought immediate international condemnation, with the US president, Barack Obama, calling it an attack on all of humanity and the universal values we share�.

UPS Was Caught Red Handed Selling A Man’s Property On Ebay!

Rob Dahm is pretty upset with UPS and he has every reason to be. Over a year ago the business man and YouTuber purchased a custom built 4 rotor engine from a well known engine builder in New Zealand. Money was exchanged and the machining process began. In a few weeks the motor was finished up and placed in a crate. UPS picked up the engine and it was on its way to the United States.

The motor was to go in the 1,000 plus horsepower Mazda RX-7 pictured above when it arrived from New Zealand. Rob waited patiently waited for the 4 rotor to arrive at his location but noticed an error message on the tracking page a few days before the delivery was to take place. The message shown was worse than the Xbox 360’s Red Ring of Death. It was UPS’s delivery exception notice. This message is UPS’s way of telling you that either they are running behind on deliveries or that they have lost your package. Rob waited for the day of the delivery and there was no change to the tacking information. He called UPS and a claim was filed.

A couple of months after the claim was made for the missing engine and no help from UPS Rob and his friends made a video that features a parody of a scene from the original Fast and Furious movie. The video was aimed at getting the attention of UPS and it worked. Check out that video here. UPS saw the YouTube submission and gave Rob a call.Instead of calling Rob to give him good news the company wanted him to take the video down.

Something peculiar happened before Rob got the call from the shipping company. A man viewed his video and thought he recognized the 4 rotor set up from an Ebay auction he had recently seen. He passed the information along to Rob who went full into full investigation mode. He found the listing and was able to determine that the engine was in fact his. Two pieces of information led to this discovery. The builder of the 4 rotor engine had provided Rob with all of the serial numbers and a custom counter weight that only two other people in the world had. The seller was able to match all of the numbers and the counter weight for Rob.

Rob had a buddy buy the motor so that it wouldn’t be picked up by someone else. After the engine was purchased Rob contacted the State Police of Missouri to seize the engine. Almost 100 cars involved in M1 'race' from Brisbane to Gold Coast

Queensland Police said their helicopter Polair spotted the vehicles on the M1 near Yatala, south of Brisbane, at about 10.30pm on Friday, with about 15 cars detected reaching speeds of between 150 kph and more than 200kph.

Sergeant Craig McGrath said an 18-year-old provisional driver from Bundall on the Gold Coast was allegedly driving at more than 200kph and had been charged with participating in a speed trial.

"He in fact holds a provisional licence, which is even more frightening and as a result of that he will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court in regards to what's called conducting a speed trial or basically racing on the M1.

"He's also had his vehicle seized for 90 days."

Sergeant McGrath said the most of the road racers appeared to be P-platers and it was a very disturbing incident.

"Those speeds are not something that are common at all, and having regard to the propensity for fatalities both for the people concerned but also just innocent people going about their own business, the chances of them being caught up is quite frightening."

French senator: Bomber entered Europe with Syrian passport issued in Greece

Paris (CNN)New evidence suggests ISIS, which has claimed responsibility for Friday's Paris attacks, may be making good on its pledge to hide operatives among refugees entering Europe in the aftermath of the Syrian war.

A terrorist who blew himself up Friday at the Stade de France outside Paris landed with migrants on the Greek island of Leros on October 3, where he received an emergency Syrian passport under a false name: Ahmad al Muhammad, said an unnamed French senator briefed by the French Ministry of the Interior.

The senator said the Paris attacks were highly organized and planned long ago.

The bomber was among the terrorists who killed more than 120 people in gun and bomb attacks across Paris.

The fingerprints on that passport matched those of the Stade de France bomber, the French senator told CNN.

The revelation collides with legal requirements to give asylum to refugees fleeing persecution.

He was among a group posing as refugees who arrived with no papers, the senator said. Under new emergency provisions, he was given an emergency passport. He also provided a birth date to go with his false identity, September 10, 1990, the French senator said.

The fingerprint on the passport was not in the French database, the senator said, and therefore officials believe he was among a group of refugees and migrants.

The man traveled from Greece to Macedonia, then on Serbia and Croatia, where he registered in the Opatovac refugee camp, the lawmaker said.

European officials said they believe a professional new squad of terrorists are inserting themselves into some of these migrant voyages.

The two others who detonated themselves at the stadium carried false Turkish passports, the French senator said.

In October, an advocacy group said that the tide of migrants to Greece from Turkey had reached a new high for the year: 48,000 refugees daily over a five-day period.

The greatest proportion of refugees comes from Syria, where a brutal civil war over 4½ years has killed perhaps a quarter of a million people, reduced once-proud cities to rubble, and prompted more than 4 million people to flee.

Countries that have taken in Syrian refugees include Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt. Nations getting requests for Syrians seeking asylum include Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Hungary and France.

About 1,500 Syrians have been admitted to the United States since the war started, according to U.S. officials in September.

no surprises here, the authorities in Europe have been talking for a while about the possibility that terrorists would use the humanitariun crisis to slip into Europe and carry out these attacks. am a bit surprised though on the number of them that have been carrying identification. or leaving random digits laying around, ie their pinkies / little finger.

You can pass through quite a few countries in Europe in a day,and if a particular country decides to close its borders (as France has done),you need identification,or you go nowhere.Most people,when traveling,carry their passports,like we carry our drivers licences.What does concern me,is the number of discarded passports,(with this mass exodus),that they found near the border crossings,God knows who managed to weasel their way through


One can only hope that Australia is in a better position to vet the ones that we are getting,because it appears to be open slather in Europe at the moment.

the sad thing is though Shuff's, that it's highly likely that there are terrorist sympathizers already in Australia. i say sympathizers only in so far as they haven't actually carried out an attack of some kind, but have probably discussed / fantasied about doing something in their sick little minds.
Daesh will never be recognized as a legitimate country / state, call is isis all you want, it will never be given legitimacy by any foreign country and will be treated like the terrorists that they are.
we pretty much already know that there attacks will happen again. what it needs is for people on the fringes of these plots to identify the perpetrators to authorities and say, no, violence is not acceptable, and stop them from being able to carry out these attacks.
