The Russian Version Of Mythbusters!

Leave it to the Russians to try to determine if you could put windows on a tank! It probably doesn’t matter how many panes of glass you put on there, because an RPG round and a 120mm depleted uranium round out of an M1A1 Abrams will punch through it like a hot knife through butter. Still, the footage of how an RPG round behaves in flight is pretty cool to see, even if the experiments were utter failures!

THE A-TEAM Remake Series is in Development at Fox

I grew up on The A-Team — I freakin' loved watching that show! Col. John “Hannibal” Smith, Lieutenant Templeton “Faceman” Peck, Captain “Howling Mad” Murdock, and B. A. Baracus were my definition of badasses when I was a kid.

Deadline is reporting that the classic '80s series is going to be rebooted by 20th Century Fox. The show was already rebooted once as a film by Joe Carnahan, which was incredibly fun, but this time around it will be rebooted as a new series.

The series is being developed by Fast & Furious writer-producer Chris Morgan. He's also executive producing the series with TV director Tawnia McKiernan, who is the daughter of the original creator of the series, Stephen J. Cannell. Then there's Sleepy Hollow executive producer Albert Kim, who is writing the upcoming adaptation. According to the report:

"The new A-Team revolves around a diverse team of American Special Forces operatives. Unlike the original all-male squad, the new team will include both male and female members. The group has been framed for a crime they didn’t commit and set out to clear their names by uncovering the black-ops conspiracy that set them up. Along the way, they are driven to help those in need by using their singular military skills, high-tech expertise and often conflicting individual approaches. It’s described as a fun episodic mission-of-the-week show that mixes big action-adventure sequences with compelling characters, inventive cons and lots of humor."

I was hoping for a sequel to the movie, but it doesn't look like that's ever going to happen. I guess a series like this could be the next best thing...if it's good! They better not screw this up! I think it will be fine with Morgan leading the charge, though. He's done a great job with the Fast & Furious franchise. Hopefully he can bring that awesomeness to The A-Team series.

Comedian Russell Gilbert underwent emergency surgery for a brain aneurysm the day after he went missing following his 'soulmate' Rochelle Nolan's funeral

Russell Gilbert is recovering in Alfred hospital after emergency surgery for a brain aneurysm

Australian entertainer lost his fiancee Rochelle Nolan last Thursday

He 'did not have the strength' to attend her funeral on Tuesday

Instead he shared a touching pre-written tribute to his 'soulmate'

Comedian briefly went missing on Thursday, but was found hours later Ms Nolan was found dead in a hotel room on R U OK Day

Australian entertainer Russell Gilbert is recovering in a Melbourne hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for a brain aneurysm.

The lovable stand-up comedian was briefly reported missing on Thursday, and just 24 hours later was readmitted to the Alfred Hospital for surgery, reported the Herald Sun.

Concerned friends and family gripped together in mourning and support when Gilbert disappeared following the tragic death of his 'soulmate', Rochelle Nolan, but his management recently issued a statement in an attempt to clear the air.

'Russell Gilbert underwent surgery today for a brain aneurysm,' Profile Talent Management said.

'A long and slow recovery is expected. The family has asked that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.'

The Alfred Hospital confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that Gilbert was admitted to the hospital and remained a patient as of Friday night, but were unable to provide further details.

Australian entertainer Russell Gilbert (left) is recovering from emergency surgery for a brain aneurysm. The funeral of his finacee Rochelle Nolan's (right) took place on Tuesday

Gilbert had briefly gone missing just hours after he was unable to muster 'the strength' to attend the funeral of 'his soulmate,' Rochelle Nolan.

Ms Nolan, Gilbert's fiancée and de facto wife of 19 years, was found dead at the Crown Casino hotel in Southbank, a central Melbourne suburb, last week - on national R U OK Day.

Following the service, Nova's breakfast radio host Ryan 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald desperately pleaded on Twitter after Gilbert's disappearance sparked concerns for his welfare among family and friends.

'We are very concerned about the health & safety of our friend Russell Gilbert. We need to locate him. If you see him please call the police,' Fitzgerald posted on Thursday night.
However, a short time later, the 38-year-old radio comedian posted an update: 'Russell Gilbert has been found. Thanks to everyone for your help. He is a great man.'

Yep,it was a top day here, considering how it changed once you got over the border. Did you do a run down the coast, or an inland run?I looked at the Trike, looked at my lawns, and badly chose the lawns,a decision I'm regretting ATM,with my rooted hip but tomorrow's another day.

I had to endure looking at my car helpless while hail was coming down.
Luckily the hailstones were small and did not affect my car when i looked after it had finished

Yeah,it's a bugger when there's nothing you can do about it,except hope.A couple of years ago,I was leaving our main shopping centre,(which has undercover parking),and wondering why there was a sudden influx of vehicles, coming in,and parking where ever they could. When I got outside,I found out why,the sky was as menacing as fcuk, and just the occasional huge hailstone coming down,so I was faced with the dilemma,of trying to get back under, through the,by now gridlocked entrances,or make a run for home (one and a half kilometers away). It was a f'king quick trip home,I tell you burnout.gif ,but, about halfway home, one clobbered the plastic stone deflector,on the front of the car,and took a chunk out of it,no damage to the car,so I suppose it did its job

alpharx7
Post #10174

^^^bad timing there Shuff's, i bet that if you'd known how dark the sky was before you left the parking garage that you'd have found an excuse to stay an extra half hour to let it clear.

we faced a similar situation yesterday out at Willowbank. i know that some guys left early on account of it. i backed my car into one of the garage's there. as it turned out we only had a small shower. it was enough to basically ruin the burnout session, but no one really wanted to come back next weekend just for that so it went ahead anyway.

Seeing that the hail hit Indooroopilly, i wonder that some of the guys didn't effectively drive into the storm.

Certainly would have waited, but when you get into the bowels of the parking area, its hard to know what's happening outside.FYI the link you put up for pics of the event didn't work for me,maybe because I'm not on Face Book, but Dave's put up a couple of gallery's,and you can see the place got a drenching, especially during the burnouts
