#newzealand QUOTE Capitalism Explained. This Is So Accurate It Hurts.
TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull. Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows. You sell them and retire on the income. AMERICAN CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows. The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company. The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on one more. You sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States, leaving you with nine cows. No balance sheet provided with the release. The public buys your bull. AUSTRALIAN CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell one, and force the other to produce the milk of four cows. You are surprised when the cow drops dead. FRENCH CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You go on strike because you want three cows. JAPANESE CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You redesign them so they are one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk. You then create clever cow cartoon images called Cowkimon and market them worldwide. GERMAN CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You re-engineer them so they live for 100 years, eat only once a month, and milk themselves. BRITISH CAPITALISM: You have two cows. Both are mad. CANADIAN CAPITALISM: You have two cows. Come to think of it, they look more like a pair of moose - in fact, yes they are. One speaks French, one speaks English. One fights to create a new country, the other won't let it. They both play ice hockey rather well. ITALIAN CAPITALISM: You have two cows, but you don't know where they are. You break for lunch. RUSSIAN CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You count them and learn you have five cows. You count them again and learn you have 42 cows. You count them again and learn you have 12 cows. You stop counting cows and open another bottle of vodka. SWISS CAPITALISM: You have 5000 cows, none of which belong to you. You charge an outrageous fee to others for storing them. CHINESE CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You have 300 people milking them. You claim full employment, high bovine productivity, and arrest and detain without trial the journalist who reported the number of cows. NEW ZEALAND CAPITALISM: You have two cows. That one on the left is kinda cute... |

Hope so Alpha, storms are so unpredictable, yesterday when I checked, there was a severe storm warning for the Northern Tablelands, and a couple of storm cells around Tenterfield. When I checked a few hours later,it was expanded to include us,and there was a large cell, that was blacker than Neddy's arse heading our way.Luckily,by the time it reached us,most of the black had gone, and it just put on a sound and light show, with a good drenching. They can build up so quickly, and turn nasty,my main concern is that your pride, and joy might end up resembling a golf ball |

I'm considering selling 2 of my putters slave. They have only seen a course for 1 round each. I 1 is a ping karsten 34" 2014 model And other is odyssey pro type #9 33" By the time you decide if you want to sell them, ill probably buy one anyway. Looking at the forecast it seems like there will be some heavier rain later in the week. Let the rain was my car for me |

you'll all see this on the news tomorrow, if it hasn't already been on it.......... QUOTE Gold Coast tradie hailed a hero after saving stranded crane driver from river
A Queensland tradesman has been praised after he jumped into the Coomera River to rescue a stranded crane driver. Brett Marr was travelling on the M1 with the heavy machinery when it crashed through a guard rail and plunged into the water below. A witness told 9NEWS a tyre blew out, causing the truck to jack-knife and drive into the river. Mr Marr managed to crawl out of the cabin before being rescued from the top of the submerged vehicle by Sam Manning, who had jumped in to save him. "I sort of went around to see if anything was in the river," the Upper Coomera tradie said. "I could tell someone had gone over and ... saw the guy out there and swam out and grabbed him." The accident sparked traffic gridlock, with part of the motorway shut for hours while repairs were made. A retrieval operation was launched, authorities aware of the risk of pollution, with roughly 300 litres of diesel in the truck's tanks. |

Lincoln Sherlock made national headlines this week when he dived into the chilly waters off Kingsford Smith Dr at inner-city Newstead on Monday morning. He explained he gave little thought to his own safety as he ripped off his jumper and swam out to save Shayne Wood, who told reporters he lost control of his vehicle after fainting from flu-like symptoms on his way to work. http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensl...s-1227444686831 |

Fear the Walking Dead premiered yesterday, this promo was aired during the telecast for The Walking Dead, returning to our screens on October 11th AMC premiered the first episode of Fear the Walking Dead this weekend, and it was not really received well by the fans. But everyone tuned in to watch it! The word “boring” was being thrown around a lot on social media. I was really pumped up about it but was ultimately let down. It’s not because there was a lack of zombies either. The world and the characters were just really hard to connect with, and the story revolving around the main characters just wasn’t that interesting. I’m really hoping that it gets better as the season moves forward. But that first episode didn’t hit for me. The sixth season of The Walking Dead is coming, though, and I know that’s gonna be good! After the premiere of Fear the Walking Dead, fans of the franchise were treated with a promo spot and clip for the upcoming season. The spot is called “We Are One,” and it features the main characters emerging from the shadows. Those characters include Rick (Andrew Lincoln), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Glenn (Steve Yeun), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Carol (Melissa McBride), and Morgan (Lennie James). It’s set to a song by the Phantoms called “We Carry On.” The clip premiered during The Talking Dead, and it centers on Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) as they are out on a lovely drive in zombie world. Abraham reveals that he’s concerned about Sasha’s emotional state, and she’s a little uncomfortable talking about it. |
