Education lesson for Ya!
An interesting fact about Manure:
In the 16th and 17th centuries, everything for export had to be transported by ship. It was also before the invention of commercial fertilizers, so large shipments of manure were quite common. It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when wet, but once water (at sea) hit it, not only did it become heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, of which a by-product is methane gas. As the stuff was stored below decks in bundles - you can see what could (and did) happen. Methane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came below at night with a lantern, BOOOOM!
Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined just what was happening. After that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the instruction 'Stow High In Transit' on them, which meant for the sailors to stow it high enough off the lower decks so that any water that came into the hold would not touch this "volatile" cargo and start the production of methane.
Thus evolved the term 'S.H.I.T' , (Stow High In Transit) which has come down through the centuries and is in use to this very day.

Now you know.....Shit happens! ph34r.gif

Debris on Reunion Island likely from MH370, US officials say

American investigators have concluded that a large object that washed up Wednesday on the shore of Reunion, a French island in the Indian Ocean, came from a Boeing 777, making it likely that it was debris from Flight 370, the Malaysia Airlines jetliner that disappeared in March 2014.

A person with knowledge of the inquiry into what happened to the plane said that US government officials and experts from Boeing based their conclusion on photographs and videos.

The investigators noted that no other Boeing 777 was known to be missing, suggesting that the piece was part of the missing aircraft.

The person added that the Americans were waiting for French aviation experts to examine the object and determine if it contained a serial number matching that of the Malaysia Airlines jet.

French official with knowledge of the investigation said that the object appeared to be a wing flap, possibly from a Boeing 777, the type of aircraft used on the flight.

The official said that the object was about nine feet (2.7 metres) long and three feet (one metre) wide, and that it appeared to have been in the water for a very long time.

Flight 370, a Boeing 777 with 239 people on board, veered off its planned route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing and stopped communicating with ground controllers shortly after midnight on March 8, 2014.

It flew westward across the Malay Peninsula and then southward over the Indian Ocean, and it is presumed to have crashed there in very deep water, killing everyone aboard. Months of extensive air and sea search efforts have so far failed to find any trace of the aircraft.

It's covered in barnacles and other crustaceans, which seems strange.for only being in the water for a bit over twelve months, then again, I'm no marine biologist, but there is a number they have found, that they claim will help them identify it

QUOTE
Ladies and Gentlemen, Mazda’s Rotary Has Left the Building

The last example of Mazda’s venerated rotary engine left the company’s Hiroshima factory last Friday, bringing to an end 45 years of rotary-engine production. Felled by a lethal combination of unquenchable thirst and tainted exhaust, Mazda’s dedication to Felix Wankel’s concept borders on the absurd— behavior we here at C/D wholeheartedly endorse.

Known for producing relatively large power with minimum mass, the rotary-engine design was subject to near-constant refinement in Mazda’s hands. For 2004, its 13B workhorse rotary received significant changes to curb fuel consumption and emissions, emerging as the naturally aspirated 197-hp “Renesis” (otherwise known as 13B-MSP, for multi-side port) in the engine bay of the 2004 RX-8. But despite the passage of time and technical advancements, the most modern of all Mazda rotaries still couldn’t hide its direct lineage to the 13B two-rotor engine that debuted here in 1974 under the hoods of the Cosmo, the RX-4, and the Rotary Pickup.

As it appeared in the 2011 RX-8 for its swan-song performance, the twin-rotor Renesis produced 222 hp at 8500 rpm and 159 lb-ft of torque at 5500 rpm—its redline was a lofty and symphonic 9000 rpm.

Mazda has been hinting for a while now that the recent stoppage of rotary production is just an interlude. The company told us that while the majority of the company’s engineering resources are focused on the development of its Skyactiv technology, it is continuing to work on its next-generation, Skyactiv-based rotary.

Figured you were not impressed, when you didn't post anything.I can't see them being that successful with their shows from here on,because nobody will have the money to chuck at them like the BBC did.

Also agree with you, that Liam Neeson movie Run All Night,is probably his best,a lot better than the 'Taken' series

not sure why there hadn't been some sort of alert given to the public over there about the chances of debris being related to the MH370, though in their defence, there's a lot of junk likely to wash up on beaches that they'd see every day that'd have no link to a plane crash.

well that didn't last long. Daves been racing his mates GMC Sonoma for years, top of the Street Outlaws list, goes out and builds his own car and writes is off with a month or two.

QUOTE
Street Outlaws Daddy Dave Rolls Goliath 6 Times at No Prep Race

Within the last couple of months, we have seen the rise of Goliath, a Daddy Dave creation that was one of the nastiest Chevrolet Novas to hit the street.

Unfortunately, though, last night at a no prep drag race, we saw the demise of the car just a few weeks after our initial reveal of the car.

Unfortunately, it looks like the car is pretty much toast, but luckily and more importantly, despite a seatbelt failure, Dave was able to survive the insane carnage and is now recovering with a few injuries.

You can check out the video below as what looked to be an average crash situation got violent in a hurry. We here at Speed Society are sending out our prayers for a full and speedy recovery and hope that you will do the same.
