Me too,I've always found Bunnings staff to be most helpful. We have a Bunnings, and a Masters, side by side, and they've made sure you can't take a short cut to either one,it's probably a kilometer to go the proper way,100 meters if you dare cross the minefield

I'm glad I didn't mow those two blocks on the farm

i don't tend to bother going to Masters much, i know Bunnings prices to well, plus i always check the prices on my mobile, Masters tend to be dear on most things and not half half the stock/items that Bunnings do.

Actually whilst we are having this wee weather event, for those of you who are just hanging to be my nextdoor neighbor remember there is a tradition, that in a major weather event like this you must race out and buy every avaliable loaf of bread, because if you cannot eat it,you can use it to soak up the flood waters.Honestly two major food stores and not aloaf of bread in sight, myself, and another old fart in a very empty bread isle,I said 'Must be going to flood'...he laughed knowingly

i'm not long home from the gym. people out driving everywhere, not sure why, supermarkets were closed, the local Mcdonalds had the lights out /don't know why - they're usually open. saw an accident whilst i was out, had not long happened, Ford t-boned a Corolla, ambulance and police on the scene. strangely absent were the tow trucks - they'd be flat out on nights like this.......

ill have to wonder down the road again tomorrow and try to find one of my driveway posts with a reflector on it.. washed away again lol
was about 50m down the road last time

one of my friends is staying at a motel tonight, couldn't get home on account of the flooding. i'm sure if she'd just waited an hour or two for the rain to ease like it has now then the water would have resided.

I think I would sooner fork out the cost of a motel, than negotiate floodwater at night, apparently four people have lost their lives up your way overnight,in vehicles being washed away, and as I type,Police,SES,etc, are out risking their safety trying to reach people stuck in trees on the Lismore Bangalow road, after ignoring the 'road closed' signs head_wall.gif

Wow,thanks Slav,so that's what sunshine looks like,shame that girl's in the road!

In other news, young bloke has been for a walk around the farm, said the nut has been all washed from under the trees this side,so me leaving the grass long in the inter rows didn't do shit!He can't get over the side yet,as the creek is too high

she made it home later in the evening.

not sure why she panicked, it was only ever going to last an hour or two, with the intensity that was belting us. i'd have just gone and seen a movie if i'd been her lol

If we want the nuts back,it's going to be more of a case of creek water touching my nut sack,no,not going to happen,my son called in and said most of it has gone,he thinks roughly fifteen tonne, and at $3-$5 a kilogram,it's going to put dent in that final number, but we are not alone,he also said whilst driving in that he noticed all the farms have been hammered. It's happened before, and I dare say it'll happen again

Yeah, fcuk the creek off, problem is it's nice having it run through the farm, but geez it can be frustrating.Just went down to grab some tucker for tonight, and checked the levy readout, it's 3.5meters from topping the levee, and coming into the CBD

I have NO idea what a 6 Rotor is to be entirely honest, how do they justify that sort of money Alpha? Certainly not for a forty year old vehicle

It's a one off engine, developed by the guys at PPRE @ New Zealand. There's certainly a novelty factor associated with it, however what no one knows is the engines longevity and the engineering quality. You'll note that the engine is a peripheral port for example, the next step is to add turbocharging - will the motor be able to handle it, how much will the ecentric shaft flex etc - something that's already a problem with 20b engines when you start trying to get good power out of them.

Asking 220k is pretty speculative, it's 'fishing' to see what they can get. You wouldn't pay half that imo.

Lorenzo's on pole for tonight's race Doc. Don't panic, I'm sure that he'll fall off. :P

Dai.

Hey,Lorenzo is no Crashlow!

Doc
Post #8702

meh, pole means nothing these days, just proves you can go as fast as possible
for 1 lap.. although he was doing consitant 1:39s which will be the race pace..
was an awesome pole lap.. new record.. he's usually pretty good at this track. he will try
and win from the get go and pull away from the field.. Rossi and MM will know this, hopefully they get a good start and not held up
in traffic..

doubt he will fall off.. but if he doesnt win we'll wait to see what excuse this time since he
has topped it in every session so far this weekend..

cant forget the 2 Ducatis.. they are pretty consitant, Maniac Joe should be strong here too.

Thanks, that explains a lot, they would have spent a lot more than what he's asking, developing it,but with all of the 'grey' areas you have pointed out,he's dreaming

At least it was a podium for him Doc,and I see Mayweather won,he must have a lot of self control, not to keep that fist on a trajectory to Biebers jaw

That was a pretty good prang there. About 2 hours before an R32 skyline did a similar trick with the left front rim parting company. The mound is made from macadamia nut shells, which seem pretty good at slowing cars down.

That blue E30 goes like stink as well.

I personally believe Pacman won the fight.

Boxing,Greyhounds, politics,it's good to know that Rossi finished third on his 200th race Doc!

Doc
Post #8712

yer he was happy with that.. somewhat disappointed he couldnt do better..
he tried to catch MM.. closed the gap to 1.03, thought it was going to be Argentina Round 2..
MM said that coz of his broken finger on the left hand his right arm was actually more painfull having favoured the left for most of the
race.. so he started to take it easy. when he saw Rossi was closing the gap he started to push again..
tyers looked pretty destroyed on all 3 bikes when i saw them in parc ferme.. Ovbiously Rossi decided to settle for 16 points.. keep this
championship lead going.. wise choice..no point pushing to hard just for 4 more points when he could crash for 0

yer it was a boring race like i said, but cant really blame JLo for that.. the other 2 couldnt catch him..
he was pretty faultless..
most of the time when JLo wins its from start to finish and by a big margin when he's just out
on his own.. cant rememeber that last time he had a battle and won.. usually comes out 2nd best.
well actually he lost on the last turn at Jerez in 2013 when MM put it into the side of him.. tough move but
thats racing as they say..
