Oh,and Alpha that is a very concise account of what's happened on here over the past couple of years, shame Stuit probably won't be back for another five or so years to read it Well from what I see there's like maybe 5-10 people who even post anymore? only 1 of which I recognize - wolfman. not really any point for an old timer like me to stick around. Its unfortunate, as Boost was a pretty damn thriving community back in the day. Never knew that classifieds was where the money was at, but I dare say that chasing that dollar has ended up being the downfall of the site. Hindsight and all that I guess, but years back there were many of us who strongly protested the changes that were brought in as we could see it killing the community. Oh well, all good things come to an end. As long as some people are still having fun and mcleod is covering costs through ads/sponsorship. How long has it been like this? Months? Years? When did the boostcruising name disappear? |

When did the boostcruising name disappear? Yeah I remember when overnight, there would a full page of new posts and threads on here, but,it has been flying in ever decreasing circles for a couple of years now,Mcleod would change something, and the older members would get on and bitch, but in fairness to Mcleod he did bend on a couple of things but it made no difference, they still stayed away in droves.I have been a regular on here since October '06,(that's when my son joined),but I only joined in 2011,when they locked Off Topic, because he wasn't keen on me using his profile. So now,as Alpha said, basically, this is the only thread, that has regular posts. The regulars here on Chat, may drop off the radar for a while, but there's always somebody keeping it percolating (used to be Doc,and Alpha, these days Alpha),so as a result when members such as yourself drop in,this is the only place with a light on.Don't think it will ever get much better than what you see now.but I enjoy what we have here,so I'm staying. |

Yer words brought a tear to me ol' eye Shuffy, aye, so they did. Meant every of it Wolfie, have not met one of you,and probably never will hampered,by living in a different state, but the current regular posters on here come across as a really decent bunch of blokes.Hoping we don't lose you when you migrate to the Land of the Rising Sun Facebook has taken over what boost used to be. Organising cruises, meets, posting meet photos, and technical talk. The only forums i really go to now are car specific (ozfoz, wrx club) I'm a regular on a one make forum, and I think the topic activity has dropped back by 2/3rds,and most of them admit to now frequenting Facebook Still Alice, available. Trailer about a Ranger that has Krafts disease Shit,we've had that for over a week Agree with you on that. Only reason I really keep it is to follow certain like the monster girl. MotoGP and a few others. The rest is just utter rubbish. My Mrs gets so upset that I'm the only one of my immediate family, and friends that hasn't joined (and refuses to)and will stay that way as long as my arsehole point to the ground |

Well I'm off to have a spa to wash this weeks edition of the farm off me,bottle of bubbly waitlng, and an early morning wakeup for the Dawn Service good evening sir. |

And given that I a bee's dick away from packing Facebook in altogether...makes me wonder where I will hang out online when I do! You will drop by here just for the shits and gigs, I have noticed slowly over the past few years as the forums have been a bit of a gyspy clit to find, so I can understand the facebook migration, . But seriously there are some fn illiterate subhumans in the facebook posts I have seen, I have it for O/S rellys etc, but when I have looked at different groups on there, I do worry about humanity and I am glad both my teenage daughters laugh at the whole social media crap. They email and meet up with people and feel sorry for the glued to the phone set, I have been very firm about that living in the now and engaging with the people who have made the effort to be with you. It will be a very rare moment when I will answer my phone when we are having dinner etc, unless I am worried about a network issue and know the staff on shift may clusterfk it. I enjoy the same life outlook and different perspective most of the regular posters have on here, so will all ways just log in every now and then. Not my photo. But this isn't that far away from me That is fn insane, you poor barstids have been copping it |

follow the link for the news story and video footage QUOTE Mad Mike's secret drift weapon
Five years after his first attempt, Mad Mike Whiddett is having another crack at the world's toughest drifting contest. The Kiwi has spent the last year building a radical new car to contest USA Formula Drift. Highlands Park was the place for a top-secret test run for one of the wildest drift cars ever built. After nine months of planning and building, it is Whiddett's first chance to find out what his team has created. "Part of my sport is pushing the boundaries, and that's why I do it," he says. "I love the adrenaline and the challenge itself. We know the car is super fast. I don't get scared by much, but this thing definitely frightens me." The only packing Mad Mike has done this week is preparing the Radbul for the flight to Atlanta to take on the ultimate championship – USA Formula Drift. "This is the best tool to be able to prove myself as the world's best driver. This is the best tool for the job." A sign writer by trade, Whiddett has become one of the best-known drifters, winning two Japanese titles and even featuring in a video game. Last year he became the first drifter to take part in the Goodwood Festival of Speed alongside the world's top motorsport identities. Mad Mike wowed not just the 300,000-strong crowd, but also the host. "Lord March was spieling off for a few minutes about this person who stole the show. We thought he was talking about Sir Jackie Stewart; then he rattled my name off and it was an unreal moment." Unreal isn't a bad description of this latest drift weapon, which started life as a cute little Mazda soft top. Mad Mike admits there have been more than a few jokes about his being a little hairdresser's car, though he is quick to point out that it's more power than a Formula One car. "Fine, let's see is they call me a hairdresser when I line up beside them on the grid." Top of Whiddett's hit list is Formula drift champ Chris Forsberg. Mad Mike won their last clash in Auckland's Driftshifters. He'll try to repeat the effort in the Radbul in a fortnight. |

we got lucky.just pea sized stuff where i am.although 15 min up the road 7 factories in eastern creek have collapsed due the hail.pretty full on I was down at the water hole when I typed that,I came up inside, and it was on the news. That's the trouble when you get heaps of that pea sized hail,it blocks drains, causing flooding, and the sheer weight of it causes things to collapse Stolen from here http://www.smh.com.au/photogallery/nsw/syd...425-1mt5ve.html |
