I have fox. hth but you have to admit the coverage on fox is 100 times better. When motogp went to ch10 it was pathetic. Adds every 5 mins. No moto3 or moto2. No qualy or warm up viewing No podium or post race interviews or pit lane talk. And at the time Daryl and Rusty were the commentators. They are presenters not commentators. Most times they couldn't even get the name right if who was riding. So many people complained and we got the BBC commentators back. Then it went back to fox. 6 hours full coverage. fcuk yeh last i heard / saw, pay tv showed heaps of adds as well. |

I should take the Wifeboat. Might not be a bad idea Wolfie,I've got my wellies out of the cupboard,QLD has issued it's first warning, but not NSW,and we're supposed to get 300---400mm,out of the same system QUOTE INITIAL FLOOD WATCH FOR THE CAPRICORNIA, WIDE BAY & BURNETT AND SOUTHEAST COAST FORECAST DISTRICTS Issued at 3:47 pm EST on Tuesday 17 February 2015 Issue Number: 1 Heavy rainfall associated with a trough is forecast to affect catchments between Rockhampton and the NSW border from Thursday through to Saturday. Widespread rainfall totals of 200-300 mm are forecast, with locally higher rainfall likely. A severe weather warning for damaging winds, heavy rainfall, abnormally high tides and dangerous surf is current. River level rises above the minor flood level are expected. Heavy rainfall may also lead to localised flash flooding. Catchments at risk within the Flood Watch area include the Dawson, Calliope, Boyne, Baffle, Kolan, Burnett, Cherwell-Burrum, Mary, Noosa, Maroochy, Mooloolah, Brisbane, Logan, Albert and Gold Coast rivers and creeks. |

looks like in about a weeks time you'll be busy on the mower, if you don't Getting bogged is par for the course now,it happened twice on Monday, but if we get the predicted rain,I wont get anywhere near the creek. What concerns me,is that we have the farm prepped for harvest, the nut has started to drop, and there is no grass under the trees,to hold the top soil together,so there is going to be a great muddy mess of this seasons nut washed out onto the headlands They've finally issued our warning QUOTE FLOOD WATCH FOR THE NEW SOUTH WALES COAST FROM THE QUEENSLAND BORDER TO THE NAMBUCCA VALLEY FOR FRIDAY AND SATURDAY Issued at 12:19 pm EDT on Wednesday 18 February 2015 ## Note: This Flood Watch is a "heads up" for possible future flooding along all rivers and creeks within a nominated valley and is NOT a Flood Warning [see note below]. Heavy falls are expected over the NSW north coast area this Friday and Saturday. There is some uncertainty over the forecast rain totals for this event as it depends upon the eventual severity of a tropical low that is currently located over the Coral Sea. In addition, king high tides will add to the risk of flooding in the lower tidal reaches of these rivers. At this stage there is a greater than 70% chance of moderate flooding in the following river valleys from Friday onwards: 1. Tweed Valley - including local flash flooding is areas such as Chillingham 2. Brunswick Valley - including Billinudgel 3. Richmond and Wilsons Valleys 4. Clarence Valley including the Orara River 5. Bellinger Valley 6. Nambucca Valley. Severe Weather Warnings will be issued as the event unfolds. It's only for moderate flooding at this stage, but we have only experienced minor flooding, not, moderate to major flooding since the levee went in. The levee has done its job with the nuisance floods up to date, but is not capable of containing a major flood,so if it tops the levee wall, there is no way for that water to return to the river. There are two large pumps that keep the low lying areas dry, until they have to turn them off, because they go under, once the river gets to a set height.Thank fcuk my house is 88 metres above sea level |

The BOM has issued update number two for Southeast QLD,and they've upped the ante from 200---300 to 400,so you might need a bigger pair of wellies than I've got, plus you get it before we do,so I'll appreciate it,if you can let me know how cold he water is |

David hicks is now an innocent man. another little leftover of the John Howard era coming back to haunt everybody....... QUOTE David Hicks wins appeal against terrorism conviction in US military court in Cuba
David Hicks, in Sydney on November 6, 2013 © REUTERS/David Gray David Hicks, in Sydney on November 6, 2013 Australia's David Hicks, a former prisoner at the US Navy base at Guantanamo Bay, has won a legal challenge to his terrorism conviction before a military court in Cuba. Mr Hicks was held at Guantanamo Bay from January 2002 until May 2007, when he pleaded guilty to providing material support to terrorism in a plea bargain that suspended all but nine months of his sentence and allowed him to return home to Australia. Overnight, the United States Court of Military Commission Review set aside Mr Hicks' guilty plea and sentence. The court ruled that Hicks' decision to forego his right of appeal as part of his plea bargain was invalid because it was not filed in time. "There is insufficient indication ... that the appellant reiterated his desire not to appeal within 10 days," the commission's judgment said. "Thus we hold that the waiver is invalid and unenforceable. "Both parties agree that the appellant's conviction cannot stand on its merits. "The findings of guilty are set aside and dismissed, and the appellant's sentence is vacated," the judgment concluded. Wells Dixon from the Centre for Constitutional Rights said Mr Hicks was aware of the decision and was thrilled. "We are very happy for David," he said. "Today's decision is a powerful reminder that he committed no crime, he is innocent of any offence. "David Hicks can now be truly free of Guantanamo." Stephen Kenny, Mr Hick's lawyer in Australia, said the decision confirmed his client's innocence. "Well it means David Hicks' conviction has been set aside and he's been declared an innocent man so it confirms what we knew all along," he said. "He's an innocent man and quite frankly he should never have been in Guantanamo, and should certainly never have been there as long as he was. "David Hicks was innocent and that has formally been recorded by the military commission itself." Mr Hicks' father, Terry Hicks, said he was relieved that years of legal battles and uncertainty had come to an end. "David would be pretty elated about it at the moment as well," he said. "It's been a long road which has finally now come to an end. "It's pretty hard to take in at the moment." Mr Hicks said now that his son's case was finalised, life could go back to "normal". "We can get on with what we want to do without the worry of how things are going with court cases," he said. "It's been a long time – we've known the story for many, many years. And now, at last the Americans have done the right thing." "That's the end of it." The US government has not said whether it will attempt to challenge today's decision. |
