The USA is harder, but nothing on Australia. The business is primarily kei-trucks anyway, not cars, which are easier to export everywhere due to them being commercial vehicles. We ship only R32 GTRs as far as cars go, and that's to North America. It's no problem, this is an established business and has been doing all this for years. |

Didn't it just become 'legal' for Americans to import R32's 6 or so months ago? How has the company been doing it for years if it just became legal 6 months ago? Or did I read that wrong and you meant they have been exporting kei-trucks to the US for years? |

Ricciardo, who competes for Red Bull in F1, had a record-breaking 1:42:2 around the Top Gear Test Track in the latest episode of the popular BBC2 show. According to Fox Sports Australia, Ricciardo had to miss out on the final day of Red Bull’s first pre-season test in Jerez on Feb. 4 to film his lap. He took the wheel of the Suzuki Liana and broke Hamilton’s record (1:42:9) of the fastest of all F1 drivers to have driven in the improvised circuit. Other F1 stars that have previously made their trips at the Dunsfold Aerodrome for Top Gear’s “Star in a Reasonably Priced Car” include compatriot Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, Rubens Barichello and Nigel Mansell. Ricciardo has already expressed his desire to beat Hamilton’s record in Top Gear during a recent Red Bull event held at Milton Keynes’ Snozone on Feb. 3. He was quoted as saying by Daily Mail that it would be nice to take away at least one title from Hamilton. With pre-season testing underway and ahead of the season-opening race in Australia on March 15, Ricciardo is optimistic that he will be able to keep up with his performance last season. He said in a pre-season interview that he hopes to pick up from where he left off in 2014. The 2014 season, which marked Ricciardo’s first year with Red Bull, saw him finishing third with 238 points in the World Driver’s Championship. In 2014, Ricciardo also scored F1 wins in Canada, Hungary and Belgium. Ricciardo said that he doesn’t feel any pressure going into the next season at all. “I think everyone knows now what I’m capable of, so I’m excited, excited to build on what we’ve achieved and learned in 2014,” Ricciardo said. “I’m ready to give Mercedes a good fight.” As for Ricciardo’s expectations, he insisted that he wants to learn from his experience in 2014. He said that finishing third at the end of the season was already a remarkable feat but he is also looking forward to getting better on the track. man.. how nice is the new 488 GTB QUOTE Amid ever tightening emissions restrictions, the time has come for Ferrari to replace its 458 Italia and its high-revving naturally aspirated V8 engine. Ferrari’s 488 GTB is the first turbocharged mid-engine V8 since the legendary F40, and follows the California T down the road of turbocharging for better economy.
With its 3.9-liter displacement, the 488 GTB’s engine is 600cc smaller than the 458’s V8, but produces 760 Nm of torque and 492 kW (660 hp) of power – both of which comfortably usurp the 458’s outputs. As with the California T, Ferrari has worked hard to make the engine feel naturally aspirated by mapping the torque curve so the car delivers "incredibly progressive acceleration when the driver floors the throttle," instead of delivering all of its performance in one big-fat turbocharged lump. Because of this, maximum torque is only available in seventh gear. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a seven-speed paddleshift gearbox. At the rear, the 488’s broad tail incorporates a large, aggressive diffuser that includes active flaps. New LED taillights are also a part of the new rear-end package. Inside, the 488’s basic layout hasn’t changed all that much compared to the 458’s interior and Ferrari has worked hard to focus everything on the driver. The infotainment system is built into the instrument binnacle and all of the controls that are usually handled by column stalks, like indicators and windscreen wipers, are instead handled by buttons on the steering wheel, lest they get in the way of the car’s gearshift paddles. The 488 GTB will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, with pricing details yet to be announced.

Police stuck with them, weaving through traffic, dodging bullets and eventually catching the pair. The driver of the car that crashed was able to walk from the scene. Both men have been charged by NSW Police with attempted murder. They will face more charges in relation to allegedly carjacking a total of three cars earlier in Queensland. |

this is six months or so old now, and i've seen it talked about in other news stories, but just imagine what they could do with it if it were to have the 200 miles range that they're aiming for in developing it. they could be up at the Sunshine coast, you're sunning yourself on the beach at Byron Bay and they lob a shell down your throat blowing up your bbq. |

The lack of snow on some rooftops this winter is helping Dutch police to spot cannabis farms. Dutch cannabis growers are reportedly being caught by police - thanks to melting snow. Officers have released a photo of a marijuana factory in the city of Haarlem that was found due to an unusual lack of the white stuff. While the surrounding rooftops were covered in a light dusting of snow, this particular roof was completely snow-free. Growing marijuana requires temperatures far above those common in neighbouring residential buildings, so Dutch news reports say police looking for cannabis farms regularly look for roofs where snow appears to have melted. Last week police raided a house in the city of Zutphen, where they discovered a bedroom containing 88 marijuana plants, according to the Washington Post. Two days later, they arrested a person in Arnhem after finding a similarly-sized plantation, proof that their appeals to residents to report suspiciously snow-free rooftops are bearing fruit. The Netherlands is known for liberal laws regarding the possession and growth of cannabis but laws forbid more than five cannabis plants or possession of more than five grams per person. Police helicopters in the UK have used a similar heat-detection method for years. West Midlands Police Deputy Air Operations Manager Martin Knowles said in 2013: "Our thermal cameras can detect unusually high temperatures coming from properties several thousand feet away – anyone growing cannabis on a commercial scale, using rows of heat lamps, runs the very real risk their criminality will be rumbled from the skies." |
