My car got hammered by hail yesterday. Dints all over the roof, boot, bonnet and some on the doors. Windscreen is broken too. Sitting in traffic couldn't even move and by the time I could most of the damage was done, not that there was any shelter nearby anyway. Lodged an insurance claim online and waiting for them to call me, I reckon it will take a while though!

I guess it's a positive that you weren't injured, though understandably would have shaken you up a bit.

NSW and Victoria have more recorded car thefts yet it seems Brisbane/Gold Coast & Logan remain monumental shit holes......

QUOTE
What is Australia's most stolen car?

The Holden Commodore dominates the list of Australia’s most stolen cars.

More cars were stolen in Australia for the first half of 2014, according to figures released by the National Motor Vehicle Theft Reduction Council.

According to figures for Q1 and Q2 2014, NSW and VIC continue to lead the country with motor vehicle thefts (including motorcycles, passenger and light commercials) of 7284 and 6762, respectively, although while NSW has seen a drop in thefts of 6.2% from Q1 2014 to Q2 2014, Victoria has seen an increase in vehicles being stolen of 2.1%. Tasmania has seen the biggest increase between Q1 and Q2 2014 with thefts increasing by 51.9% (243 Vs 369).

So, what are thieves targeting this year (2014)? Well, it’s certainly not that former ram raider favourite, the Subaru WRX, which doesn’t even feature in the top 35 vehicle’s stolen for 2013/14. Indeed, the MY99 WRX is the most stolen WRX and it only recorded 35 in 2012/13.

By way of contrast, and make sure you’re sitting down, there were 52 Kia Carnivals stolen in 2012/13.

Top 10 most stolen cars in 2014:

1.Holden Commodore VT MY97-00
2.Toyota HiLux MY05-11
3.Holden Commodore VE MY06-13
4.Nissan Pulsar N15 MY95-00
5.Ford Falcon BA MY02-05
6.Holden Commodore VY MY02-04
7.Holden Commodore VX MY00-02
8.Hyundai Excel X3 MY98-04
9.Toyota HiLux MY98-04
10.Holden Commodore VZ MY04-06

Delve into the details a little deeper and you see that cars built between 2000-2010 make up more than 40% of all cars stolen in the first half of 2014, followed by cars from the 1990s at around 27%.

Where are they being stolen from?

Brisbane (city) leads sits at the top of the table with more than 1000 vehicle thefts in the first half of 2014, followed by the Gold Coast with 700, Logan with more than 600.

Between third and fourth place there’s almost daylight with Hume in Victoria sitting at a little over 400 vehicle thefts, with Blacktown in Sydney rounding out the top 10 with 380-plus thefts for the first half of 2014.

And if you’re wondering at what time of day all these cars were stolen, well, between 4pm and midnight seems to be when thieves are most accurate with, you probably guessed it, Friday and Saturday being the most popular days of the week for car thefts. Almost half of all car thefts occurred from residential dwellings.

Mine is a 2006. I think it will be written off. I am pretty sure the policy has some sort of buyback option, will I will seriously look into. Hopefully I don't get screwed too badly.

I have heard the same thing - mass inspections.

Yeah it was coming down pretty hard. I actually thought the car would be more damaged than it was.

That's right, glad I wasn't hurt. Also glad I wasn't driving my other car because it doesn't have full comprehensive and would be much harder to replace!

It was pretty insane, talking to one of the blokes who was stuck in Spring hill, he just parked and hopped in the back seat as windscreen and side windows went, he was pretty shaken, and we had the advantage of calling everyone to bail and find cover as i saw sites going down from Beaudesert as it went

'Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens' Trailer Launch - What You Need To Know

November 28, 2014, 10:34 am Tom Butler, editing by Yahoo7 Staff The Hype

The first trailer for ‘Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens’ is one of the most anticipated trailer launches in recent memory.

Fan fervour is at an all-time high as we count down the time to the official trailer launch today, Friday 28 November (US time), but what do we know about the first trailer?

Quite a lot it seems. Here are the most frequently asked questions about the first trailer for ‘Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens’.

Has the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer leaked?

No, not yet anyway. There are a few well-made fakes out there online, but none are the real deal.

When can we see the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens' trailer?

To see it on a cinema screen, you’ll need to be in North America. The first 'Star Wars 7' trailer will play in front of every film at 30 selected cinemas from Friday morning (US time) until Sunday night this weekend – click here for a full list of participating theatres.

The American East Coast will be the first to see it because of the time zone difference, so we can expect to hear fan reactions online from around 1 - 2am AU time on November 29 (damn you timezones!).

When will ‘The Force Awakens’ trailer be online?

The first trailer is being released online on Friday, 28 November (US time -- remember Aussies this will be around the midnight mark for us) exclusively on iTunes (but this might be just in the US).

It's currently not clear at what time precisely, but we expect it to be online late afternoon, probably at 4am or 5am locally.

Keep an eye on the official Star Wars social media accounts for the reveal.

How long is the 'Star Wars 7' trailer?

JJ Abrams has revealed that the first teaser trailer will be 88 seconds long - that’s just shy of 1.5 minutes if you can’t be bothered to do the maths.

What will we see in the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ trailer?

88 seconds is not a lot of time to cram much in. Considering the film only wrapped shooting recently, we expect the first trailer to be more character driven with sparse use of visual effects.

There are a number of company idents to get through at the start – Disney, LucasFilm, Bad Robot - which could use up 8-10 seconds of airtime, then there will be the film’s title and release details at the end, which could use up another 5-10 seconds, which means we're probably looking at around 70 seconds of pure film footage.

Recent reports claim that we'll hear a haunting rendition of John Williams’ The Force Theme played on panpipes, accompanied by flashing images that reveal the film’s main leads. There’s thought to be no actual dialogue from the film, and the trailer ends with the title card followed by the Millennium Falcon flying towards the screen, firing its blasters.

It's not clear whether the trailer will be shown in 3D or 2D, but it will be shown in IMAX at certain locations.

Who will we see in the ‘Star Wars 7’ trailer?

The early reports suggest we’ll see the film’s “main leads”, but as we don’t know who the cast is playing yet, it’s not clear exactly who they mean.

John Boyega and Daisy Ridley are said to be the film’s primary protagonists, so you can assume they’ll appear in the trailer, as will Adam Driver who’s thought to be playing the main villain.

We also hope to see original cast members Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, plus Anthony Daniels (C3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2).

Other actors that could appear include Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max Von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’O, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, and Pip Anderson.

Rest assured, as soon as the trailer drops we’ll have it live on Yahoo Movies UK with a full comprehensive analysis.

May The Force Be With You… until Saturday morning.

this 'leaked' cam maybe the first footage of the seventh Star Wars film.

very average quality, but it's a cam. you can hear the audience going off, so probably legit. a 'proper' will likely be out by the morning.

We have parted ways with our old mower/harvester,the replacement is the same breed (Toro),and the mower side of it has less than 1,000 hours, but the harvester attachment would be lucky to have seen fifty hours work.We wanted to replace a couple of the pulleys, and get it prepared for mowing, but the young bloke wasn't keen to do it yesterday,as the farm had 50mm of rain out of a storm overnight, and the shed was a bit damp,as a result.I've been mowing the place on my own,for the last couple of weeks,so was pretty pushy to get it operational, and I won

They're $60,000 brand new,and the beauty of them,is the fact if it was a dedicated harvester,it would be sitting doing zilch for 8 months of the year, but as soon as harvest finishes, you convert it back to a mower. The other bonus is the guy that builds them,is based a kilometer away,so very handy for parts etc,our old one was up over 5,000 hours, where as this one is built on the current model of Toro,so I didn't bite the apple, and chucked a few pop rivets in for good measure
So the fact that I can post pics means the problem is definitely with the App
