So yo what I really want to do to the ef is a barra conversion im starting to save coin for the ba xr6 turbo motor but I have a few questions. Ok so im still going with the 3.73 diff have that sused out my main worry is the gearbox side of things not too sure what to do there. Is there anyone on here who has done a barra conversion before? Or is working on one or has the know how and can give me some advise on what the task ahead of me is going to be please?

Umm my best guess without looking into it at all would be to use the stock xr6T gearbox?? Seriously unless your extremely handy this is a pretty silly thing to do. You can buy xr6t's for well under 10k now. You will probably end up spending more than that on it and still be left with a EF, yes I get being unique etc but sometimes its just not worth it.

Doing it anyway cheers man. Taking off the road when rego runs out in on the 9th month so I can work on it. So with out a doubt the gear box will fit you reckon?

Fair enough. Nah I didn't say the gearbox will fit without a doubt but it is the most obviously choice. I'm sure there is a lot of information out there about it because it seems like a pretty obvious conversion choice. Maybe ask or search on a ford performance car forum.
