Does any off topic readers remember the days of a troll called HULK? mamoru.gif

Was speaking to another old off topic reader and we were having giggles about the time he had personal details thrown up on here, they were the good days.

I mean, wouldn't you just say oh I was speaking to SIKWRX or sims etc

Yeah that issue seems to be isolated to your mobile / version... we haven't been able to replicate it and have tried particularly hard to do so!

Im using the stock browsers on a galaxy s3. Surely it can't be that uncommon?

I get the same issue. stock browser on s3. Have reported it in feedback thread. and I know they've tried to sort it. But still pops up occasionally for me. so I tend to repeat the last word from mobile in case it drops off off

From a development point of view, it's a pretty crazy problem, your reply messages are sent to the server, we don't do anything special to them.....

I honestly don't even bother loging in when browsing on the mobile site because it's so horrible.
The stupidest part is it lets you write a post in a thread even if your not logged in, and then when click submit it sends you to the loging page which wipes your entire post and sends you back to the home page lol,

That's not true... if you type a post and get redirected to the login page, then you can login and it will submit the post automatically, it doesn't redirect to the homepage...

Then again, we know that you are specifically having issues with the S3 and stock browser (well, your phone is rather out of date mind you)....

Honestly, we've put hours into it and can't fault it, maybe drop your phone round sometime and we can debug further :-)

Better yet, install chrome on your phone!

Seriously? Its come to that? Its not even that old, its one model behind and I have zero problems with any other website. However, in saying that I also have zero other problems with browsing boost on the mobile, I find it quite easy and user friendly.

S3 out of date ? Are you joking lol.. I run the bog stock IP.Boards for out club and the mobile site doesn't have any issues at all. I think your finding so many bugs because Boost has been modified so far beyond any forum software can handle.

Dude, I wasn't talking about the S3 being out of date, I was referring to the browser version on YOUR particular phone.

Have you ever done a software / OS update?

Kirk and I have spent a lot of time looking into this (hence why I know about the software version on your phone), and other S3's are working fine.

We can't produce the problem you describe, so without being able to produce it, we can't debug it or solve it, hence why I'm saying that if you can drop into our office and we'll have a look at your phone, or use another browser, I can't do any more than that sorry.

I can see now how you may have meant software but the thing is I haven't even owned the phone for that long (end of November), so I assumed it to be up to date or at the very least one update behind. Not to mention the bug has been happening ever since I bought the phone but I guess I may have had outdated software since it was new?

It doesn't really matter, I barely post anyways.
