Yes we all realise you have money and honestly congratulations for been successful.
Spending 100k on a nice car I can understand.. it's a sick car, but spending almost 10k on a pair of lights is a ridiculous waste of money for anyone. If Bill gates bought the same lights I would say the same thing.

Why would you buy something so pointless ?

I doubt anyone who looks at the car will know they are 10k lights and you would be too embarrassed to tell people you spend 10k on a pair of lights.

Do they you give 9.5k worth more light than the standard ones ?

If you wanted to show people that you're a baller you should of just sticker bombed your current lights in $100 notes.

Because it's an option that I always wished the car had, and it doesn't. They look very significantly better than the stock version at night AND in broad daylight, they are just a much nicer cluster:




Would most people know?
No, probably not. They would just think the car looks better and not know why. Do I care? No, not really.
I would know, and every time I look at the front of the car I would go: "Man, that looks sick as shit".
I think I am getting on close to 50k of mods I've done so far, and you'd probably hate all of them. Most are more of the same. Minor tweaks that cost a lot but make it more how I think it should have come. Apologies if it seems absurd to you, but my car's for me.

Those are the exact ones you found, incidentally.
As you can see, 4-5 K AUD will get you a mint condition second hand set shipped, but with as big and expensive electrical component as this I'm only willing to go new.

Is it really that odd to spend 10% of the cars worth on an accessory?

I spent nearly $1k on tail lights a couple of days after paying $6000 for the whole car...

I think the lights that Fearless posted up were left hand drive,which would be no use to anyone in Oz,because they would be aimed the wrong way.As you've said,Wolfie,your car,your money,your satisfaction and I've always loved the subtle little changes you make to it,that I would think were standard,if you hadn't let on,that they are your own personal mods

I was caught,buying a set of Aero wiper assemblies for the Pug,I bought right hand,and when I fitted them,they were back to front,as all Peugeot do,is move the steering wheel and pedals,everything else remains left hand.

BTW, if anyone is keeping up, DHL have "launched an investigation", whatever the hell that means. Seems that AUSPOST have a scan at handover (ie; when the package went from DHL to them) but it was never scanned into a facility. Oh good.

I can see how they'd be pissed, but if it hasn't been signed for then it's still their responsibility, meanwhile your head lights have walked, and someone potentially has a set of 'secondhand' r8 lights for sale on ebay for 5g's

They will find them, It will be as mentioned, sent somewhere else where no one gives a fk, back of a van waiting to be dropped back, my lost parcel they took about 36 hours, seems they weren't keen on the US gov poking around their patch.

BTW spotted you today near Chermside heading into town, headlights look good to me as they are

How did you even find a pair of lights worth $1k for a $6k car . On a few mods I would say 10% of the price
of the car is very normal, say a paint job , or a nice set of wheels perhaps.. but lights !



Left hand drive lights aimed the wrong way ? Are you serious lol, or am I missing something really obvious. I always assumed that headlights all pointed towards the front and the left and right were identical mirrored objects

Yeah at the end of the day, your mods your car The only Mod I haven't liked so far was the new wheels
