That's borlz. In other news, just flashed my TCU. Plugged in the portable OBD2 unit I got in the mail, waited til it beeped....now apparently my shifts will be 30% faster. unpluged hdds.. still same. every time i start up it goes straight to launch system repair/ start windows normally. when i start normal it just goes black screen,, if i do repair goes to the crappy win7 blue flowerery screen and stays there.. only replug in your boot drive - this is something that my brother suggested, he's had a similar problem caused by a windows update I believe. looks like you may be doing a fresh system install doc, good chance to pull the computer apart and clean all the dust out. I hope you didn't lose anything. |

That's borlz. In other news, just flashed my TCU. Plugged in the portable OBD2 unit I got in the mail, waited til it beeped....now apparently my shifts will be 30% faster. Ah, technology. It is great isn't it, but I guess the 30% gain will come at a cost of drivetrain wear and strain. It does shit me when the aftermarket tuners etc all bag the factory setting and get great gains and pat themselves on the back, when the factory drivetrain engineers are hamstrung by emissions, NVH and durability issues. A classic was the XR6 turbo, at the end of the testing and all tests passed with a very soft tuned engine 240kw as the V8 boss at 260kw was to be the flagship as well as the torque would blow the T5z. They were green lighted to test to destruction the mule engines, I think they all easily managed the 300 to 310kw, then the limit of conrods and valve spring longevity was reached, but they had peaked one at 342kw before it lunched itself. I am sure the situation is the same all across the world, I only knew of the BA when trying to sort out the POS brakes and driveline issues when they were new. |

Yer I'll lose a lot of stuff, but nothing that is irreplaceable, most of the files are on an external Sorry why are you loosing anything ? It's pretty rare that a hd would be completely rooted. is the BIOS picking up the drive ? Just buy a new drive, install windows, copy everything from the old drive to the new one.. Going from the symptoms it sounds like you just have a few corrupt sectors where some of your windows files are located... It'll take your 1-2hrs and cost like $70 for a drive |

Not an issue-it just auto-debits, I've never not paid it off in full. Just weird to see an overspend on the statement. |
