Anyone want to help out and get us over the line?

So hopefully next week the full LED front lights will go on (I think the r8 is still the only full LED lighting car on sale)... They look rad. Also gt tail lights. Hard to explain how rad they look. Basically standard ones with clear lenses, and painted black inside.

Should look good on black, the led lights, are these Aus delivery adr units? tail lights very close to the upcoming corvette zr1

wolfman101
Post #641

The tail lights are the same design as on normal models, just clear not red, and black inside rather than mirrored. The full LED front units have always been standard on the v10, and an option on the v8.

Do you have to change the indicator relay Wolfie,as they will have a different load rating with the LED's?

Don't think so. The cars built after 2010 (when they became an option) are plug and play. Before that there was some fcukery involved.

I wound up wiring resistors into my bootlid to stop my led plate lights throwing a code.

If it thinks you have a light out with your plate lights, you may have to,time will tell I guess.Changing it would probably be no biggie, finding it,might be another matter

so as some of you may know, I've recently installed a new stereo system in the rx7. now the head unit has mp3 playback via a usb stick.

I'm looking for ideas on novelty usb sticks - I'm thinking 8-16gb in size. anyone got any good ideas? include pics and links if you can please - if it's not to much trouble.

I'm going to have a look on eBay later after I come home from the gym, so any ideas appreciated.

thanks guys.

if you want a usb that doesnt stick out like dogs balls, get a micro usb.
i have one in 8gb, water and dust proof..

yeah I've been thinking about a micro usb stick, that'll be the fall back if I can't get something suitably trendy. mamoru.gif

what makes it a little bit harder is the usb is on it's side, not horizontal

Doc
Post #651

That's what makes these good, only a few mill thick about 1" long

Just saw officeworks has 8gb ones for $5. I think I bought my 4gb ones from computer alliance one weekend they were on special for $2. Pretty small but they get the job done.

thanks for the linky/ information mark.

I'm thinking that those one's may be to large - if I go for a 'standard' type usb - even though they're smaller than what I have laying about atm. I'd go for a micro usb stick if I can't find something suitably quirky.

It's a shame that most of the novelty USB sticks would probably be too clunky for you,as there are some quite good ones out there

it was a residential address, lots of Commodores / Nissans from what I saw on the news.

Just did a trip to Coffs Harbour. I live in Jimboomba so I took the Lions Road down and then on the way home I just did Summerland Way to the end, then right onto Mt Lindsay Hwy. Who else has weighed up whether the Lions Road is faster by time then the normal way?

My father in law and I disagree in our opinions. Whilst the Lions Road is 28km shorter, he believes it takes longer because it is a slower paced road. I didn't time it so I can't say 100% but to do both roads in the same amount of time (even though FIL says long way is faster) you would need to average 28km/h more. Both times I had the 2010 Corolla Levin at a similar pace and I just can't see it.

Mind you either way is a nice piece of road, I just wish I wasn't doing it on bugger all sleep and on the way home from Coffs Harbour (already in the car for 2.5hours before attacking that road)
